| I have a 97 eclipse gs-t. The guy I bought it from has put many aftermarket parts on it. Whenever I let the turbo kick in my dipstick pops out and oil shoots out. If i tape the dipstick on then oil comes out of the bolts on the valve cover. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be? I thought maybe it has something to do with the BOV, is that a possibilty. It has a Blitz BOV. I would appreciate any comments. | |

I have a '99 Eclipse GS 2.0 DOHC that won't start. Battery's fine. When fuel was manually put into the fuel line it burned what we put in, but would not draw more fuel. So the problem is likely the fuel pump or relay switch. Does anyone know for certain the location of the fuel pump & the relay switch? I've found 3 modules which look like they could be the fuel pump relay switch: 2 are on the right side, mounted on the firewall next to the brake fluid reservoir. The other one is on the left side, mounted on an oddly shaped black box with a pulley type mechanism inside. (You can tell I'm a real mechanic, huh?) Please tell me the fuel pump is not inside the gas tank. Any help is appreciated. My next move, if I don't hear something definite, is to pull all 3 relay modules and take them to the dealer's service desk and hope for a knowledgeable attendant.
