Yes, they are for ultra performance, but... Wrote to MB. No concrete answers to my questions. Now, I think I should have gone w/something else. Anyone else having tire dilemma? Replying to: moi1 (Jul 26, 2005 7:32 pm) What size tires you you have? If 17's or bigger then you likely received 'performance tires' from the factory. Just look for all-season tires in your size with a high treadwear number, like around 350 or better, and they will last longer. You will give up some of the performance factor, but if longevity is more important then the compromise may be worth it.   Life of the tires has very little to do with the car unless there is an alignment problem.   JR

I didn't know they still sold the C-class coupe in Canada. Why did they keep it there but discontinue it here?

after release new C classe-in 2007- Mercedes will never product C Sportcoupe because of low sales of C Sportcoupe internationally.so they canceled new design program Spring 2008 new C-class Sportcoupé/Sportcabrio(CL204/CLA204)   if it is offically true ,   when last coupe is orderable? 2006 or 2007 ?   Know anything? Just bought a 2002 CLK55 AMG and am looking for an active discussion. This car is certified thru Jan 2007, but just received an offer for $2.5k that would provide an exclusionary warranty for 5 years/100k miles. Replying to: charlton (Jul 07, 2005 7:27 pm) I have my C230K coupe for 3 years and the problems have never stopped, one after the other. May be I'm just not lucky!   First was the on-board computer suddenly shut-off after a stop in front of the red light, took it back but the MB dealer couldn't diagnose the problem, told me it's been fixed, happened again. After several attempt. They found out it's the fuel pump sensor that's not enough fuel(half tank), change the fuel pump.   Then it's the ESP, always beeping(failure), took it back. Diagnosed for software update. Ok afterwards.   Then it's the battery alternator, suddendly stop working oneday morning when I have to go to work. Nice!! I had to call Road Side and tow the car out of my own garage. MB could not diagnose the problem, just replaced a new battery alternator and gave me a detail report saying that the voltage in my car is higher than normal, but why? no answer!!   Recently, the front disc brakes are squeaking like hell, took it back to MB, told me not to replce them now because there's still a bit left on the fronts. disc brakes came with package of 4. almost $800!! not covered by warranty!!   I'm a very slow and patient driver, handling the car and engine really well, but still....All the problems I mentioned above was extra besides regular maintaince which they called service A and service B. I never missed 1 service day but the car has way too many problems that anyone can handle. I admit that it's a very good looking car but you have to take the risk that the Kompressor starts to deteriorate after 4 years like mine, getting slower and slower to kick in when you need it!!
