Can anyone tell me how much should I spend on an 06 CPO XJR? A dealer's listing it for "special price" $31060. Great deal or theres room for negotiation? Any significant problems w/ this model year I should be aware of? Thanks

| Thanks gregg, can you tell me how much lower should I bargain for? I'm a bit confused as even Edmunds site quote it for almost 40k... | |

Where in the country is the economy that enables the best deal on used 05 XJ8 L's with less than 25k miles? There are two listed with same color, equipment, and miles. One in TX, the other in Southern CA. There is a $4,000 difference in the advertised price. The SC is $26,900 and the TX is $22,900. This is just one example of area differences. So, who is offering the best prices, where? Thank you for your input. |

Replying to: potolock (Jan 31, 2006 10:01 pm) Having been through every inch of Texas Cars Directs entire operation in excruciating detail, (I mean EVERY inch) I can tell you emphatically that you are wrong and honestly, you either don't know what you're talking about or your simply trying to spread untruths. 1) they don't have a body shop of any kind. 2) I've seen the cars they buy immediately after coming back from auction, they are NOT "dogs." And no, I've never bought a car from them, so I'm not posting this to alleviate some cognitive dissonance. You're simply not telling the truth. Sorry. |

| On my 2001 XJ8 the upper bushings on both my front shock absorbers are falling apart and the bellows have fallen down. Are these bushings easy to change with out having to go to the dealer? How come I do not see bushings for front absorbers listed on any Jaguar parts sites? The only bushings listed are for rear shocks. Are there any other bushings located on the underside? I do not notice a difference in ride quality but at 10 to 25 mph one can hear the a dull rattling. | |

Replying to: allojohn (Sep 08, 2006 10:48 am) I have the same problem with my Jaguar XJ 2001 trac not availalbe comes up, initially it was once in a blue moon but now it starts to come more often. It starts to happen now as well when i am driving, the engine goes in failsafe mode. When I restart the car a few times it solves the problem. Can you tell me what the problem is? Thanks Anno

Replying to: lzolidis (May 24, 2007 12:02 pm) I have the same problem with my Jaguar XJ 2001. Initially the 'trac not available' error came once in a blue moon when i started the car but no it's getting more frequent, even when i drive slow in traffic jams. Assuming that your problem is fixed, what eventually solved it? Thanks Anno

Replying to: annov (Dec 19, 2008 7:37 am) have had no more problem. This problem just about drove me mad as it had new plugs and yet this being the problem. I would be driving and this light would come on and I would only hope in making it home and fear of going any distance. |
