Anyone knows if there is any aftermarket that can make the Sienna suspension firmer. I have a 1999 XLE, the suspension now is kind of too soft for me ( 77000 miles ) I replaced the front struts with KYB's but still too soft, should I also replace the springs at the same time or anything out there that will do the job. thanks

in response to post 214, we have the audiovox system. It was installed by the dealer when I bought the van and told him we wanted DVD added. What I didn't know and you should, is you will lose your rear audio capability. You will only be able to listen to the DVD or CDs played on the DVD on the headphones. I am upset because nobody asked me if I wanted DVD OR rear seat audio and I didn't know I would lose it.

I ordered this when I ordered the van last week. It is going to be installed at the factory. Is this work like those aftermarket alarm plus the flashing headlights and horn? Someone mentioned the glass breakage sensor. Is it part of the system?

Can you play DVD-R/DVD-RW in a Toyota DVD? by cincyguy

I have recently ordered a new 2004 Sienna with the factory DVD player. Does anyone know who makes these players for Toyota and what model it is? Specifically, I am trying to determine if you can play a DVD-R/DVD+R/DVD-RW/DVD+RW formatted DVD in this player? I know some players do and others don't. I am trying to determine if it would be good to buy a DVD recorder (and if so, what format recorder is necesssary) to transfer my kids VHS tapes over. Alternatively, I might need to buy all these titles again on DVD if it does not. Many thanks to anyone who can shed some light on this issue for me.

Weathertech cargo mats by oursea

I have been reading that the Weathertech cargo mat (behind 3rd seat) when installed will not allow the seats to be folded back. I emailed then and asked. They replied that the seats can be folded down. Does anyone have any experience with this as of recent? Also they have just updated their webpage and increased their prices: Black $79, all others $119. That is a big price increase. I did find the grey for $71 on another site. Thanks...

You can fold the seat down, after removing the mat. This will likely work to your favor as you don't want you nice clean seat sitting on a plastic liner that has spilled OJ or other sticky substance on it.

I have seen pics that show a seat folded onto the mat and due to the design of the folding mechanism Toyota made, it is impossible to create a mat with high sides that won't be folded along the one edge by the folding seat.

I think its pretty easy to just pull the mat up and leave it on top of the folded seat.

I have also seen a nice use of a few Rubbermaid containers that fit in the area very well. I have seen some with 10 gallon and others use the 16 gallon containers. I think I will likely use a waterproof mat with Rubbermaid containers.

frustrated with Sienna options packages... by iwannasienna

Hello, I just found this board and I guess all I can do is VENT my experience with wanting a Sienna LE with package #7 (safety package, adds traction control, etc.) and package #11. Dealer insists I can't do this unless I go up to the 8 passenger AWD or the XLE, which is adding so much stuff I don't want. There must be others out there who want the safety and also the upgraded entertainment system but NOT all the other stuff that would jack the price up over the $35,000 range. If I can get over my irritation with Toyota for their option packaging, I'm going to buy the LE with package #7 and upgrade the stereo & add DVD, although I would much prefer the factory installed. I'd love to hear if anyone elese has done a similar upgrade, how it turned out, and how much it cost.

Thanks for listening!!
