| Tried to trade in my 1996 Grand Cherokee at at AutoWorld Jeep/Eagle in South Glens Falls, NY was doing OK until the GM/co owner went out to look at my trade {89k} evidently H2O pump sprang a leak right after I parked it and went inside {surprise} GM did everything up to and including that I was trying to screw him etc. etc. After listening to him rant and rave for 5+ mins, I went into the service dept and got out the Full service contract and told them to R & R the water pump{all covered under warrentee} I then went back inside and told the GM that everything was covered, and that I was going to go elsewhere with my business. He changed his tune etc. etc, stating that his DMV clerk was on vacation, and he had to do all the work... I left and went up to Warrensburg, NY, Maltbe Chry/Jeep/Dodge. Nice people, spent about 5k more on the Ltd than on the Sport I was looking at. But got a gooood price and all the bells/whistles. Good service etc, have 13+k and no problems..... | |

Recently, I purchased a Jeep Wrangler SE. After looking at everything a second time at home I realized the sticker had listed "Full metal doors with roll up windows" as an option. But my Jeep came with half metal doors and zip up windows. I called the dealership and no return call. Any ideas what to do? |

| Finally, agonizing over how to discuss the fact that Manhattan Chrysler Jeep sold me a Jeep with half metal doors and zipper windows instead of what WAS CLEARLY INDICATED ON THE STICKER AS BEING FULL METAL DOORS WITH ROLL UP WINDOWS I confronted them again. Their answer. Tough sh... Too bad. We aren't gonna do anything. You got a great deal (I didn't) and those doors went to somebody else. Unbelievable. I even contacted Damiler Chrysler which completely agreed the dealer was wrong said they could not step in to interfere. However, because they're a 5 star they should want to. But nada from them. I'm going to Chrysler arbitration. A small claim law suit. Posting on here. Manhattan Chrysler Jeep is NO GOOD. UNFAIR. I couldn't be a more DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER. | |
| I agree! How sneaky and dishonest. I mean, it's not like the window sticker and doors are in plain view or anything... | |

I recently purchased a '03 Liberty from Field's in Northfield IL and had major transmission problem from the beginning. The dealership was great about it. They provided me with a loaner vehicle while mine was in the shop. (30 days total in 6 months) They also fought with Chrysler for me to put me in a brand new Liberty once it was determined that my original Liberty was not going to be an easy fix. In the end I will go back to Fields for all of my new cars. The service department is top notch and the free coffee bar and ice cream is always a nice pick me up when the jeep day isn't going nearly as well as hoped. One other little perk about this dealership is that they only sell Jeeps on this lot so it's kinda like walking into jeep heaven when you pull up! I would highly recommend buying from them if you are in the northshore area! |

| i bought a 2002 jeep liberty limited addtion. Just previous to the 70,000 mile warrenty. I've had numerous problems.. The first major problem was with the rear end which caused shimming at 45mphorso. we did get this resolved but now my transmission has gone on me. When it shifts to 3rd gear it is like it has gone into neutral. so in other words you can go about 25. No one seems to want to help, Chrysler's 800 service phone people shut me down. My warrenty is long expired but I beleive sometyhing should be done to a jeep that is 2 yrs old with this many problems. Does anyone have any suggestions other than i need to take a typing class. | |

I live in the near west suburbs of the Chicago area. Oak Park. I am looking for a good service solution. I went to Premier Jeep with my last GC and after 2 tries they couldn't fix a rear differential gasket leak. Took it to a Firestone and they got it first time. So, I'm looking for a good ASE mechanic so I can keep my Chrysler warranty in good standing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tnx |

Just bought with a family member a JGC from Phil Long Denver Chrysler/Jeep in Littleton, Colorado. After a very long buying process on New Years eve. a rush through the finance department, I have found charges for 2 products that were not even discussed. The finance guy resembled a con man from the get go. Trying to explain to my 75 year old mother how lousy Jeep reliability was in order to get her to go on a extended warranty. I guess I should have been more alert after that observation but in my previous car buying experience I had yet to encounter a dishonest dealer. Now I have. I've contacted the dealer but have yet to hear back. |

Replying to: cherokeelmt (Dec 06, 2002 7:50 pm) I bought my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee in Lynnfield as well and they were okay as far as sales and service (oil changes); however, I was really surprised to see your comment RE:the loaner as there have, unfortunately, been times when there was a defect w/my Jeep and they wouldn't give me a loaner and they were pretty rude about the whole situation. It's interesting...I mean, my car overheated and I was stranded on the South Shore and they wouldn't help me out at all during the repair. I have since decided to go to a local body shop for all my service as it's not worth it to pay the extra $ and not even get that extra service. |
