Well, I love Proteges so much that I traded in my 2001 LX 2.0 for a 2003 ES-GT. I thought I liked the Pro before, but I really love this ES-GT!! I got the 3M film put on the hood and side mirrors and the dealer is giving me some extra for the fog lights. I also got the rear windows tinted 20% and got the dealer to throw in locking wheel nuts and rear mudguards.

I never had any major problems with the LX, but the low financing rate that Mazda Canada is offering was too good to pass up.

Not only that, but when I was in negotiations, I told my buddy about the MSP and he came along with me and traded in his 2002 Altima for a Titanium Gray MSP! He says he likes the MSP tons more than his Altima!

Anyway, happy zooming to all!

I think the ES GT is a steal right now! If only I was done school...

Congrast and happy motoring! And be careful with those alloys! No more hubcaps now:)

Brrr, we went from winter 2003 in March to Fall with no summer. It rained from March up to the third week in August -- over 60-inches. Almost 3-meters, Dinu.

Nessie? Hmm I knew a "Nessie" on another forum, could this be the same? I'm also from Virginia.

Sorry your '99 didn't turn out, give Mazda another chance. Most dealers use the first 12 months to get the rattles and squeaks out. My 2001 didn't have any and still doesn't. Maybe the roads you travel aren't in the best shape?

And congrats PF! And you won over a convert to boot! Cool all around.

My Protege is approaching 46,000 miles since I got it in Jan '99. Been pretty great, though I admit my wif'es '03 P5 definitely corners flatter and has more oomph. A stiffer chassis and suspension and a torquier engine will do that though. Oh well, bought a bit early in the model's life cycle, but I still love it too much to part with it.

Thanks!

I also forgot to say that I got the g/f's sister to get a silver ES-GT as well. She lives w/ us right now b/c she's going to school. So right now, there are 2 ES-GT's at my house!

A major newspaper is looking to interview people who recently bought small cars after previously
driving larger cars or SUVs, despite whether you traded from big to small or if you still have the larger vehicle. He's especially looking for drivers of the Mini Cooper, Honda Civic, Ford Focus, Dodge Neon, Hyundai Tiburon and Mazda Protege. Please respond to jfallonedmunds.com by Tuesday, October 28, 2003 with your daytime contact info and the type of vehicles you had and have.
Thanks!

I plan on adding a 3 by next summer, so we'll have 2 Mazdas too!

Did I say I love the ES-GT?
