We rarely have bad winter weather (at least in recent years) and if it's that bad, my husband would likely drop me off at work-and it's only five blocks. And nothing, not even AWD will help in icy conditions. By the way, you won't regret your purchase. I have never loved driving a vehicle as much as I love driving the SF. It has a smooth, quiet ride. I love the XM and the sunroof  . I have the SF Limited FWD Golden Beige Premium Package.

I have been reading these posts for some time and have noticed that all the posters either have the Limited or the SE and no mention of the GLS, VERY INTERESTING, about two months ago I purchased the GLS with AWD, the premium pkg. and the touring pkg., and the sticker was $27,600, my price was $24,400. So far the vehicle has been great, I have the 2.7 engine and am getting 20.2 mpg city/highway, I recently took it on a 1200 mile trip and was not disappointed with the smaller engine, it did downshift on the hills a little more than usual but nothing I couldn`t live with and the ride with the 16 inch wheels was quite comfortable. I did have a few rattles at first but after a trip to the dealers they are almost gone now, I hope other GLS owners will post as well.
