Another thing for them to change is the windshield wiper placement. When we first got the SF, I wanted to use the wiper for the gear shift. Yikes! And my husband who has big hands is always hitting it and turning on the wipers (without the washer). He also thinks the blue lights at night are still too bright, even on dim. I however, love them.

I know what he means about the windshield wiper/washer lever - I've hit mine several times too. I agree with you, though, about the blue lighting - I like it. I've put 662 miles on it since 4/30 and found it to be an execellent machine . I've had many cars over the years, but this one seems to have everything I want.
They really did their homework when they re-made the '07 model SF to appeal to the U.S.Market.

I understand that they have used a different type of oil filter in the new engine, that drops in with a compression type seal - I don't mind taking it to the dealer for oil changes at $26-95 but anyone know if the regular oil change places have this oil filter in stock yet? It's always good to have a choice and the dealership can take more time.

I don't know much about leasing, but I thought the "Touring Package" only added $1200 to the MSRP or $1100 to the Invoice price...
I have nearly 13K miles on my '07 Limited bought last October(w/Touring and Ultimate pkgs-LOADED) and I can't say enough GOOD about it...GOOD LUCK !!!

Thank you.

Here's is some more info from email exchanges with that same (third dealer) I have begun negotiating with:

A marketing bulletin was sent out by HMFC revising the leases. The residuals changed and the money factors changed. They changed from there standard 30 and 42 month terms, and now are offering 24,36, and 48 month terms. This is unusual, however it does happen from time to time. I outlined them below.

24 months factor = .00280 res. = 61%
36 months factor = .00288 res. = 50%
48 months factor = .00296 res. = 40%

By the way, I am available on Saturday, and a copy of the "revised" program is available for your review.

so, at least he is not only giving me numbers, but willing to let me "review" his documentation. that sounds like he seriously wants to make a deal.

i'll let you know how it goes after my meeting on Saturday.

Just posting, I bought a new 07 Gls 2.7 V6, I got it for 20604 out the door including floor mats.

Is this a fair price

Unfortunatly rocks flying during a trip on the interestate have put two dents the size of quarters on my roof. Any suggestions how to avoid spending alot to fix this, we just go to 5000 miles

I wonder whether we will see any rebate changes for the coming memorial day.

I was informed that the balloon rebate was increased to $2550 since middle of May.

Santa Fe Price in Canada by coras

Hi! I have been considering a Santa Fe for a while now, and am at the point where I have begun negotiating for the best deal. Just wondering if anyone is familiar with the Canadian SF prices and can tell me if the below is a good deal:

Santa Fe GLS 5-seater - $32,600
Santa Fe GL AWD 5-seater - $28,800

The above prices do not include taxes, or the following additional costs:
Freight $1595
A/C and Gas Taxes $300

I'd appreciate any opinions. Thanks!

I have been researching the same, and I must say that 32,600 for GLS/5-seat is better than what I have got so far. Have you checked at carcostcanada by any chance?

How do you think $32000 for Santa Fe GL AWD 5-seater before Tax, already including all fee, blog heater, under-, body- and interior-coating?
