The dealer had a minimal service department and no paint/body shop. Each visit for service resulted in damage to the car - then additional damage when they tried to repair previous damage. On one occasion, they put a sizable ding in the driver's door. When we insisted that is be repaired, they contracted with a good ol' boy who operated his 'paint shop' out of the back of his truck. Needless to say, the repair was unsatisfactory. In the first six months of ownership, our car spent more that 50 days in the shop - most of that repairing the damage done during previous visits. That dealer no longer sells Hyundai. Eventually, Hyundai allowed a neighboring dealer to repair the damage done by our original dealer.

Have been shopping Santas recently and notice that all dealers seem to be loaded with inventory. Does anyone have any info as to whether or not Hyundai will up the $1000 rebate or reinstigate the $750 rebate for financing? Flwonder

Replying to: flwonder (Apr 15, 2007 7:04 am) gas is over $3 per gal in the west...the consumer is scared and the summer is not even here yet. This is not to mention the spike in food prices etc. I bought mine in Feb but do not put a lot of miles on it (luckily) I think I would not want to be in the auto business these days. You will see real pain if it gets over $3.50 per gal which it could easily! In fact some predict $4!!Ouch |

They implement the new incentives on the 4-5th of the month. I'm waiting till May. IMO, they're sales are going to be so off this month, they'll come back with better incentives and rebates. Good luck.

Replying to: oceang2 (Apr 15, 2007 4:55 pm) also read in the Korean Times 3 04 4 weeks ago that Hyundai's inventories were stacking up. Nothing to be lost by waiting. They certainly won't be going up in price. Good luck. |

Replying to: oceang2 (Apr 09, 2007 7:00 pm) while this car does have alot of miles, it is still a new car (for warranty purposes), so getting 10 grand in a discount is just not reasonable. this car would sell for 24K-27K if it was a true used car (already been titled by someone). |
