Valley Hyundai in Longmont, CO, is where I bought my car. I give this dealer a 100 point rating. Extreme professionalism, very thorough. I kept waiting for the catch, and it never came.

After contacting multiple dealers all over California the best deal I could get was through carsdirect.com. No one would sell the Limited under invoice except them!

Here's what were going to pickup this weekend somewhere in SoCal:

'07 Limited AWD w/XM w/touring & premium option pkg and w/optional floormats. Color: deepwater blue with beige interior. Hard to find this combo in Cali!

Price: $27,808 (this includes the $1000 rebate and a $100 vehicle tx fee). Out the door = $30215.

The deal isn't closed yet. I'll post my thumbs up/down about carsdirect when it goes through.

Hi Everyone,

I received the following quote from a dealership in the Phoenix Area. Wondering what the forum thinks of the deal.

2007 Limited
Powder White Pearl w/Blk Leather
Ultimate and Touring pkgs
MSRP: $31,780
Invoice: $30,014
Rebate: $1,000
Final quote: $29,014 + title, tax, fees

Think I can get better pricing?

Thanks.

hey jalOpez,

I've been driving this very model/color-combo for 3-1/2 months now and I love it...but I think you have another $1K to negotiate with; your invoice price seems high...see below:

2007 Limited
Powder White Pearl w/Blk Leather
loaded w/both Ultimate and Touring pkgs.
sticker-$31,660
invoice-$29,084
rebate-$500
paid- $28,100 + TTL...and they threw in the carpeted floor mats!

I was told by every dealer along the Gulf Coast that I could not order what I wanted from the Factory at this time.
Had to drive 100 miles(to Houston) to pick it up...was not looking for ultimate pkg., but very happy with it.
Grandkids love the DVD player & 3rd row seats.
Infinity sound system is awesome and the black interior is actually a very nice Charcoal color.
Dealer did 1st oil chg. for free at 3800mi.
Now have 6000 miles on it and I love everything about the Santa Fe...hope I can say the same a year or two or three from now.

good luck !!!

I could and would but then I don't like throwing money away.

For that MSRP number, the invoice number you give is wrong. Dealer Invoice s/b about $29,700. A reasonable price including the $1,000 rebate would be $28,000 + TTL.

See link title for reference.

Thanks 2007ltdwp and 07xle.

I received that quote via e-mail from the dealership and hadn't checked the Invoice figures on-line. Not sure where the $1k discrepancy came from (funny how they are always in the dealers favor).

Anyone know what the incentives will be February? The $1,000 rebate supposedly expired 1/31.

07XLE:
I'm back to you and sooner than I thought I would be, but first let me give you a little background... actually, a lot of background.
Back in November 2006, I started looking for a 2007 Santa Fe Limited, AWD, Dark Cherry Red/Beige interior with Standard Equipment only(NO OPTIONS). I got several calls from dealers claiming that they had just what I wanted, but follow-ups proved they were blowing smoke(except for one dealer), and they tried to get me to accept another color or an option I did not want. The one dealer said they would search, find, and dealer swap for exactly what I wanted so I went with and stuck with them through the whole process which ended January 31... just in time for the $1000 rebate!
Now comes the good part thanks to your educating me, I refused to pay advertising. In a previous posting, I mentioned that I do not pay the 'Dealer Conveyance Fee'(DCF) so I reduced my offer by that amount and told them to add it back in because as they say, it is 'required by law' to charge the DCF.
So, here is 'the rest of the story'... I got the vehicle with no option packages, but because it came from another dealer some extra goodies were added by that dealer and included: floor mats, cargo cover, pin striping, and door edge protectors. I got all this for......
$25,431(rebate included)+DCF+tax+reg=$28,429 OTD!!!
Thanks to this forum, especially you 07xle, my willingness to wait for what I wanted to become available, and a dealership willing to search for my vehicle, I got what I wanted.
If you are looking for a particular vehicle, willing to wait, I Very Highly recommend...
Lia Hyundai of Hartford, CT and their friendly, helpful, professional staff and management... and that's
'The Rest Of The Story'
with a happy ending!!!
Any Questions???
