Replying to: atipo (Jul 18, 2009 8:07 pm) Your issue is the options you want. I'm not sure, but I do not believe your dealer can simply order a car with the options you want from Hyundai. Hyundai just makes a certain mix of cars with certain options and yours is one of the low supply, high demand option packages. This means you do have less negotiating power unfortunately.

So if you are looking for something truely specific, as you are, it could be near impossible to find.   Expand your options a little maybe?

I'm interested in purchasing a 09 Santa Fe SE trim with Touring Package. MSRP 26,695 + destination. Invoice is somewhere around $25K. There is currently a 2K rebate. (I am not using Hyundai financing). That brings it to around 23K. How much lower can I get this for right now? Any dealer incentives? I also imagine it will be cheaper in August too? (Would have preferred to get a Veracruz but there is very few on the lots right now because the 09's just began rolling out in May and almost no rebates or incentives).   TIA!

Replying to: atipo (Jul 18, 2009 8:07 pm) I picked up my new 09 Santa Fe Limited Touring yesterday. I live in Boston and had to go 60 miles to Manchester, NH to get it. I could only find two dealers in all of New England that had any. I paid $100 over invoice, but they also charged $400 (!) for "documentation". If you want the car, I think you're going to have to pay their price.

I just bought an '09 Santa Fe SE today. I am very happy with it. I took advantage of the Cash for Clunkers program so the deal I got was this: $27,945 Sticker    -3,500 Clunkers trade in    -2,000 Hyundai rebate    -1,100 additional dealer discount $21,345 price paid plus tax   Looking forward to this forum

My brother just bought 09 Santa SE FWD today. -3,500 Clunkers Trade In -2,000 Hyundai Rebate -2,000 additional dealer discount $21,300 Price out the door including NJ tax & fees   Just wanted to share.
