Hi there,
I called West Broad in Richmond today and got a great deal on the Sante Fe SE FWD. We're completing the deal Thursday and I plan to pick it up on Saturday.

Thanks for the tip. It was good talking to you Sunday night....I really appreciate your help and I can't wait to pick it up. I got the Slate Blue.

Thanks again,
Lauren in VA

I'm in Canada, so the pricing is different. I've decided I want a GL 3.3L AWD, we have lots of snow here lol. So the price I've been quoted is $30,000. So thats a beginning, now I have narrowed it down I can contact the dealerships again and say for sure what I want. In a few days we'll drive the 2 hrs. to see the salesmen, that will be stressful. We're hoping to get them down to $27,000. for a cash deal. Do they really give you a better deal if its cash? Hope so

question about dealer in albany,ny by air2karl

Hi,everyone, glad to find this forum and hope to get some help here, thanks in advance! I live in Albany, ny and would like to know if anyone knows any good dealership in my area. Another thing is, some of my friends keep saying stay away from Korean cars, only get Honda or Toyota, even my Korean friends drive camery. However, after reading on this forum, I feel like Santa Fe is a nice car, and the price and warranty look great. So if anyone can give some objective opinion on this, say, comparing the Santa Fe with the CRV or Highlander, what is the difference there? I am looking to get a SUV. Thanks everyone! Appreciate any input on my questions!

My experience has been that they'd rather not sell you a car for cash - it removes the potential for them to make money on the financing.

Let them think you'll be financing the car, then they're more likely to give you a low price, then turn you over to the F&I guy for the REAL profit...

09 Santa Fe Limited purchased 07/6/09 by 09safelim

Our daughter was really encouraging us to purchase a Honda since she and her hubby have been very happy with their CRV. I did my own research and decided I wanted an 09 SF Limited FWD. I never thought I would buy a Hyundai; but we did. We decided to go with Hyundai of Valdosta (GA). I test drove one 08 with the 3rd row and Rear Entertainment System. I decided to go with my "gut" and purchased the 09 for $24,008 Out The Door including dealer discounts AND they gave us the $4,500 Cash for Clunkers. (We had a 1995 XLT Ford Explorer 4wd). I am very excited. We drove the car down to our home in Central Florida and loved the ride. My only question about the car has been the red blinking red light up by the windshield on the drivers side.

I had a very pleasant experience with the Hyundai of Valdosta and would encourage anyone interested in a Hyundai to visit the dealership. They have answered all my many, many questions via telephone calls and email ">while I was still in the decision making mode.

So far I am very, very excited about our new purchase and look forward to many many years with this car.

working with a salesman here in austin, tx and wanted to make sure we were getting a good deal. we are looking to purchase a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe SE with the Touring package (third row seating). We've test driven and crawled around in it so we know we want this make/model/package. Touring packages seem rare. There are only two in Texas that have the Bluetooth accessory (which we really like). Here's what we're being offered for one with touring package, bluetooth, mats and cargo net:

MSRP $27,955
Invoice $26,480
Dealer Offer: $23,850 ($150 to bring it in from out of town) + TTL (rebates already factored in)

there are two other dealers in town and no one can get their hands on exactly what we want so we don't have an apples to apples price war to be waged here in austin or san antonio (we looked). does that price seem like it's a good deal?

I have had nothing but success with the Hyundai product. I have an 02 Santa Fe that has been nothing short of being bullet proof. I'm at 79,000 miles. I also have an 07 Entourage. I had 1 of the common problems with the first ones made but the dealer has been the best dealer I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Unfortinatlly the dealer is in SIXBURGH!!!! With that being said, this dealer ( Bowers Hyundai) has repaired all of the problems I had with my Entourage, quickly and all covered under warranty. They even drove 2 hrs away and towed my van back, fixed the junction box (common problem with early models) cut front rotors and I had it back 3 days later. NO CHARGE, all under warranty. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, Hyundai or Kia have a great product, you won't be sorry unless you buy from a dealer that has poor customer service and gives you the CAN'T DUPLICATE PROBLEM so there must not be one bull crap. Go into the Honda forum and read about the transmission problem with the Odessey, Pilot and Acura's MDX. Honda says there isn't one, I think the #%& is soon to hit the fan.

I don't know how objective my opinion is as I have ordered my very first Hyundai, a Santa Fe, but I looked at Toyota RAV4 and Honda CRV. I found both of them to have uncomfortable seats. The Honda did not accelerate well and the headrest was awful. Now, I know Honda is a quality car and I had a Civic for 9 years which gave me good service. However, Hyundai stands behind their cars with the best warranty in the business and I think that by the time my Santa Fe is old enough for me to trade it (probably in 10 years) that the resale value of these vehicles will be at a level with Honda and Toyota. Just my 2 cents....
