I'd say he did a lot better than that since Edmunds True Market Value does not include TTL.

Wow, I'm glad I found this forum! It seems like people are getting some killer prices. I'm thinking about getting a 2009 Limited AWD and was wondering what a good deal would be. Edmunds says people are paying $26,521 (after the $2k rebate), but should I be shooting for better than that? If location matters, I am in northern Virginia, but I have no problem going a few hours to get a better deal.

Thanks!

Here is how my "Buyers Order" reads:

(top line)-----------------------------24007.36
ON-LINE SYST FILING FEE:-----20.00
TOTAL FOR VEHICLE:--------24027.36
TAX 3%:--------------------------------731.90
DEALERS BUSINESS LIC TX:--48.79
UMV+LIC+TAX FEES:-------------52.75
PROCESSING FEE:--------------389.20
MFG REBATE:--------------------3000.00
CASH:----------------------------------250.00
BALANCE DUE:-----------------22000.00
-------------------------------------------------------
This is the car I bought: http://www.alexandriahyundai.com/newcars/vehicle-details.cfm?vin=5NMSH73EX9H2416- - 27
ePrice is listed as: $21939
Since the ePrice already factors in the $2000 rebate, the pre-discount price should be: $23939
However, my pre-discount price was $24007 (+ $20 online fee).
I guess one way to look at it is that I paid $88 for free lifetime oil change (so long as I stay in NOVA)...or is that really not a bonus?

You made out like a bandit. I forgot that Edmunds does not include taxes, title and registration. So you did about $900 better than the average Joe, plus got free oil changes for life.

If you don't mind driving a few hours you might want to check out fitzmall.com prices.

hey everyone I've been looking at a bunch of suvs and decide to see how much santa fes are going for now.

I am looking for a 09 santa fe in either the se or limited trim, don't really need any options but the typical ones that probably come with the santa fes by default.

I am also looking to finance the vehicle, can the special apr rate be combined with the cashback special? the 2.9 with the 2000 cashback?

I live in the new jersey tristate area, also travel to new york also. Haven't really gotten a chance to goto dealers yet but will be aiming to buy a new car this coming weekend.

Does anyone in my area have quotes from hyundai dealers?

Does anyone know if Hyundai still leases Santa Fe's? I haven't seen anything on these forums or Hyundai's site.
I'm looking for either a Santa Fe or Nissan Rogue, but want to lease.

Thanks for any feedback.

A reporter from a large newspaper is looking to speak to consumers who is considering purchasing a Hyundai or Kia or have purchased one this year. Please send your daytime phone number and the vehicle you own to ctalatiedmunds.com by Tuesday, June 30, 2009.

I spent the last 6 months+ waiting Hyundai Financial to come up a lease special on the Santa Fe, first on the 2008s, then on the 2009s. It didn't happen. Unfortunately, the dealers' rates (from local lessors) were crap. Finally got a decent rate from Honda on a CR-V and went with that at $100 less per month. I would have preferred the Santa Fe, but (to quote the immortal Mick Jagger) you can't always get what you want.
