Bought my Santa Fe by clueless17

Went to Richmond last week and bought my Santa Fe SE FWD MSRP $25,771,
Discount price $24,652, got it for $20,377 including rebate, plus $1100,00 taxes and fees. Our local Hyundai dealership would not touch the price. (Said I should buy two) Had to drive 3hrs away but is was the BEST car buying experience ever.
Did all of the negotiations through e-mail. If anyone wants a Hyundai and is within a few hours of Richmond I HIGHLEY recommend West Broad Hyundai.

Sorry guys I have to brag...I live in the Tidewater area(Southeast corner) of Virginia and for a new 2009 Santa Fe Limited w/carpet mats, cargo net, first aid kit, etc...had gone to Hall Hyundai and they wanted as much as $2000 as the final price than I got from West Broad Hyundai in Richmond, VA. I laid out the following to them and they refused to match it, said I would get there and find it wasn't the "Final" price. Not only was it the final price, BUT they offered to drive it, an hour's drive, to me!!! They rock, I told Hall Hyundai they were stupid to lose my sale and I would take it for service anywhere but there after I bought it! They couldn't believe it when I walked out the door on them! So here's the run down if any of you want to use it for comparison...
SALE PRICE $26,426.00
PROCESSING FEE $349.00
3% SALES TAX $803.25
.02% LICENSE TAX $48.85
DMV ONLINE FEES $10.00
REGISTRATION $48.75
TRANSFER FEE...NONE SINCE USING MY TRADE-IN PLATES
TOTAL COST.....$27,685.85
REBATES..........$2,000.00
BALANCE.........$25,685.85
TRADE VALUE...$2,000 (2000 DODGE DAKOTA W/132,000 MILES)
SUBTOTAL......$23,685.85 WHAT I PAID AND NOT A CENT MORE ; )

WEST BROAD IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!

A national reporter is looking to speak to consumers who purchased a Hyundai vehicle recently (within the past four months) because of the Hyundai Assurance Program. Please send your daytime phone number and the vehicle you own to ctalatiedmunds.com by Friday, June 5, 2009.

purchased in illinois, titled/taxes in indiana. cargo mat, mudguards, carpeted mats.

$22,200 OTD with a $6,000 trade allowance for a 03 Jeep Liberty Sport with 75K mi. Taxes were around $1,600. Probably could have pushed a little harder, but not much I suspect.

The 28K included the taxes. No nav system.

Tha car is awesome. What new car is not? Nursed it home at 55-60mph, never going abouve 2000 rpm and not using cruise control, which I will keep doing till it reaches 1000 mi to break in the engine and trans. Registered 24mpg on the trip computer but I have no idea how accurate that is.

The only thing I do not like about it is that highway noise from passing vehicles can be heard easily. I could not hear the sound of its own engine - just other vehicles. I think they put in adequate soundproofing in the engine compartment, but not in the doors and roof.

You may want to have that wind noise problem checked at the dealer. The SE that I bought a couple of weeks ago has NO wind noise at all. However, I test drove one at another dealer that had a lot of wind noise. It may be just a door adjustment.
