I've been following this board for a while now and appreciate all of the great information. I am interested in purchasing a 2008 Santa Fe AWD Limited, especially with the great incentives being offered. The problem is that I am having a hard time locating a dealer in Northern NJ who has one on their lot. I do not want 3rd Row or NAV, but I can't seem to find a dealer who has ANY 2008 Limited on their lots. Does anyone know of any dealers in Northern NJ who has any stock? Also, the dealers I have contacted have tried to steer me toward the 2009, claiming the price difference is only about $2500. I am still looking for a 2008, so I haven't asked for the pricing details of the 2009, but assuming this is my only option, what kind of prices has every gotten for the 09 Limited (OTD, including TTL)?

As such, I cannot believe that Hyundai has cleared their 08's from the supply chain to the North East, espeically given the economic conditions since October. I'm taking a wild guess here that you're cold calling dealers on the phone asking for 08's. Whereupon they tell you they don't have any in stock and steer you toward the 09s, when in fact they have lots of 08s. If you're really ready to pull the trigger, I would go to Towne Hyundai in person armed with the 23K OTD number and get your car. Let us know how you make out.

Replying to: NY_Maverick (Apr 16, 2009 6:55 am) Thanks for the advice. I went to a new local dealer today (one that I hadn't called originally) and bought a new 2008 Santa Fe Limited.I originally went looking for a 4WD Limited with no Nav but feel in love with a color they only had with a Nav unit, so I bit the bullet and spent a little more than I planned. Overall, I got the car for $24,174 (exc. TTL). I didn't think this was a bad deal, but what are your opinions?

Replying to: donovan846 (Apr 15, 2009 5:30 pm) I also priced out a SE with premium pkg... list 27,570 and got him down to 21,070 (originally offered to me at 21,700), BUT they would not include the 2.9% financing. (I'm not sure if I could have gotten it at the higher price either). They told me they would lose money on that deal.. they are offering me a 4.94% rate.. What does anyone think about this deal 21,070 w/o T/T/Registration but incl del. with a rate of 4.94?
