I agree with many posters here, check Fitzmall and have your dealer beat that price. A good example of what they have on their site: Sante Fe Limited with lots of options, MSRP: $31,140.00 Invoice Price: $29,483.00 Internet Price: 23,695.00 If I went to my local dealer without the printout, I bet I would have to spend hours haggling just to get down to that price and I think everyone can do better than the Internet price. |

I got it OTD for 20, so that seems like a good price. Should I not trust Edmunds TMV used car report? All dealers I talked to said they could not find the midlevel SE model with 3rd row , only Limited. Are the dealers lying, or should I believe them about something like that? Seems like they would have sold it to me if they had it, since I walked out. And TMV for Limited with third row in cheapest config is 27,892. After 3500 rebate it's still 24,392, too high. So how do I determine a good price? Doesn't seem to be TMV on edmunds, right? |

joobster, i wasn't trying to insult u... i was just trying to mention that there are deals to be had with the Santa Fe. what u needed to do, was have the dealers in your area compete via the internet for your business. it's easier to get a quote through their "internet departments" rather than a shady salesperson. this way u don't have to exhaust yourself with the back and forth negotiations. in october, i had a fully loaded santa fe awd/nav/3rd seat ready to purchase at $24.2k but my wife changed her mind at the 11th hour and we bought a different make. enter your info to get quick quotes from dealers in ur area: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2009/hyundai/santafe/101146762/dealerpricing.html click here to check the current inventory in ur area: http://www.edmunds.com/inventory/srp.html?make=Hyundai&model=Santa%20Fe or got to cars.com for a competing list from the dealers; for some reason these prices always differ from competing websites: http://www.cars.com/go/configurator/styles.jsp?nclp=true&zc=08854&rd=30&aff=nati- - onal&makeid=19&modelid=5148&myid=&match=&dlid=&orgid=&aff=national |

Replying to: joobster (Mar 12, 2009 7:33 am) the veracruz was nice, i just didn't like the front grill... but yeah, i think $23k OTD is/was a realistic price point, and STILL IS!!! if u really really really want to drive yourself nuts, send out an internet query with the links i posted earlier and see what the dealers respond back with. there's no obligation... heck use a fake name and a new "junk" email address (from either yahoo or hotmail etc) to field those inquires .... better yet, if u want to do an experiment... send out the same inquires using one email address that has a male name and the other with a female name... you'll be surprised at what u get back. the honda pilot, we found to be really boxy/plain and utilitarian, but if u like it, that's what matters. we thought the santa fe was a much much better deal than all the smaller suv's available. good luck and don't drive yourself to batty.

| I am looking at 2008 SF- SE FWD, w/carpet mats, cargo net. What would a good OTD price be? | |
