2008 Santa Fe AWD limited- Negotiating a price by linkis

2008 SF AWD limited, no nav. (3500 rebate + 500 auto show discount; there was a local auto show but MRSP is $30145 & they gave a price of $30815)
I have gathered info from MRSP, Edmund's method for invoice price, KBB,etc. To get the best deal, how much lower do i go ,say from the Edmund's, for a starting negotiating price? Any advice or tips you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

What is "auto show" discount? Did you really check Edmunds? You can get it here

TY newcrvman . The Auto show was in the Pgh. area with new cars from the various mfgs. I had checked Edmund's TMV price, as well as the Fitzmall site.

OTD $23K for a 2008 Santa Fe Limited by atiger

Bought a 2008 Santa Fe from a dealer around DC area yesterday.

OTD $23K includes title, tax (3% sales tax), and other fees.

No navigation, no Rear Seat Entertainment (DVD), no Touring (3rd-row) Package. Apply $3500 and $1500 (Valued Owner) rebates. If you are an active military personnel or a recent college graduate, you can get more rebates.

Another dealer told me 2009 Santa Fe is on the way, which will be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Hi atiger,

Sounds like a good deal. What options did you AWD LTD have beyond the base equipment?

Did you get it from Fitzmall?

25500 or so was the MSRP. They now have the internet coupon for $6000 off as the month has turned. Mats and mud, but everything else was standard for an SE...steering wheel radio contols, 3.3 ltr engine was key as the 2.7 seemed sluggish to my speed demon wife NS lao 8 inch wheels. If you want a GLS, they MSRP at 23 and some change. All standard safety features

Hello all,
I'm a 29 y/o woman (budget-minded), I live in Piscataway, NJ and i'm trying to find a good Hyundai Dealer in my area. I don't want to have to travel too far to buy but will if the price is right! I've contacted Brad Benson for a quote & i was told that they don't email quotes...whatever! I'm trying to do thorough research but it's so overwhelming! At this point I think i've narrowed down my search to the following a 2008 Santa Fe (whatever the mid level one is). I'm 5'9 & I need something that will fit me, I hate little cars ( I used to have a 93 duster in College & grad school). I don't have kids to load into whatever I choose but I want to have space in the car for me. I don't drive to work, so that's not a concern at the moment

Here are the things i'd like your advice on:
-Should I go with a New or Used Hyundai? What's the better deal in your opinion?
-Is certified used a good option?
-I'd like to know if you think that it'd be worth it to get a V6?
-Is AWD necessary for NJ weather?
-How much did you pay for your Santa Fe (including taxes & fees)?
-What dealership did you buy from, where should I avoid at all costs?
-If I buy out of state, do I pay for the state of purchase taxes & NJ taxes on it? Do you recommend buying out of state?

I'm open to all your suggestions!

Thank you for reading!
