Oh yea i have no doubts about Hyundai quality, my sister bought a brand new 2003 Accent GL 3-Door Hatchback and its been a great little car, its got close to 75K miles now and only problem has been brake pads which is normal. Other than that the car has been great and fuel economy is outstanding. If an 03 Hyundai Accent is that good, and thats considered when Hyundai wasnt so quality oriented; i can only imagine how good the new generation of Hyundais are especially since now they actually are all about quality.
I really want to see the MMC (facelift) for the Santa Fe which shouldnt be too long before we see it. Sonata came out in 06 and got a facelift for model year 09 which debuted in 08 at the Chicago Auto Show.
Santa Fe came out in 07 its due for a facelift (according to what they did with Sonata) for model year 2010 which should debut early in 09.
So lets see what happens.
I personally love the looks of the Santa Fe and its super negotiable price, as to where other cars arent as negotiable. And you dont give up anything for this price, you get it all plus one of the safesr SUV's on the road.
Yea im a Hyundai fan hahah
#2230 of 3002 Great Buying Experience

Three weeks ago I closed on a 2008 SF Limited 5P AWD Platinum Sage W/O DVD or Nav. OTD under $25K. Superb fit and finish! Rich leather and XM radio.
One Hyundai dealer in Langhorne, PA tried adding $2K of extras to the MSRP and start from there. I walked. I had Edmund and Consumer Reports dealer invoice info.
Two dealers made no non-sense, first -time sales offers, Towne Hyundai of Denville NJ, and Faulker-Ciocca Hyundai of Quakertown, PA. As Ciocca Hyundai had the color I wanted and lower OTD door price (lower PA sales tax?) and I live in PA but work in NJ, so I went with PA.

Your deals all sound great. But where are the 2009 Santa Fe's? Has Hyundai decided to skip this year. We are almost at New Years and no Santys. I stopped at the dealer in Las Vegas (land of makebelieve) and was told they "weren't being released for a while" whatever that meant. While I was there, two transports pulled in the yard and disgorged cargos of 2008 Santys. No Limiteds. According to the salesman they haven't had any in our area in 3 months. Sounds like Hyundai's marketing is all screwed up.

Actually, the 2009 will be a long model year since production of the '10 doesn't start until the 4th quarter of 2009. The 2009's will arrive at dealers in January 2009, and the 2010's will arrive at dealers in January 2010. So says my Hyundai contact.
#2234 of 3002 Santa Fe Insurance

I really dont know of you can help me out here but, how can somebody know how much the insurance will be on a car before he/she buys it?
Parents are looking into a Santa Fe or CPO RX330/350 however they only want to pay tops of $600 a month including insurance and car payment. So where can i go/call to see about how much it would be for insurance a month?
Thanks in advance

Do they have a car now?
If so, just call their agent and ask them...
If not, you'll have to shop for quotes.. Start with whoever has their homeowners or renter's insurance.

Yea they do have a car now. I guess it is only obvious to call the current insurance and ask them for quotes.
Thanks for the quick reply

We purchased a new 2008 Santa Fe Ltd on Nov 24 2008, we called around dealers
and had a range of quotes from 22k to 28k, we went with $22,250 with floor mats
which i thought was a great deal, in San Jose , Ca. I luv the car and I am glad i chose it instead of the RAV4 which was lot more dosh for similar features, MPG for me is best at around 60 MPH, we put 15k down and the rest at 0 % for 3 years,
