Hello all, I read through many of the posts and can't find a specific post on the Santa Fe SE price. Its a 2008, FWD I am in NY, NY and I got a price on the SE of 20,500 (With Tax, Title comes out to about 22500$.) After seeing the bottom line price in consumer reports of around 21,500$ I think I got a great price. It is the standard SE with none of the additionalk packages. Is this a good deal? Thank You!

Replying to: mpuzach (Apr 13, 2008 10:11 pm) I did the math, and based on your method I am getting a good deal. The invoice price (with destination) was 23,650. Minus 1000 as you said, so 22,650, then minus 2000 rebate, is 20,650. And we are getting it for 20,500 with no Destination Charge. The only charge I am going to balk on is their "adminstration fee" of 350$, there is no destination charge so I am not that upset. But I am going to ask them to drop it. So total OTD would be about 23,000$ with taxes and DMV. I feel that is a solid deal |

| If someone, especially in Texas or nearby, has obtained good pricing I would sure appreciate it. The MSRP is about $30,750 as I recall. Thanks a bunch!!! Craig in Austin, TX | |

Hi, I am completely green when it comes to negotiating a deal on a car. Seems like so many people on this forum have been so skilled in their negotiations and received so many extras and discounts. I need pointers, I need tips!!! Here is the deal I am looking at: Hyundai Santa Fe 2008 AWD SE - $23, 079 (after rebate) - no extras - no trade in. And, how do I go about negotiating a deal when they insist they are charging me below cost and that they are the best price in town? I would truly appreciate any help or pointers I can get. Money is tight and rent is high. Please help. Thanks.
