You are right. When I went to pick up the car they claimed it had been damaged during transport. It appears you cannot get the Slate Blue/Grey Leather. I gave them until noon today to get me a Black/Black car or I move on.

I just bought a 08 Santa Fe SE AWD V6
Premium Pkg
Roof Rails
Mud Guards
Cargo Tray
Carpeted Mats.
It had a MSRP of $28,865. One dealer gave me a price of $22,000 with my trade.
Second dealer gave me a price of $22,150 with my trade. When I started to leave he then threw in a trailer hitch and installation and a Jensen GPS which is worth about $250.00. My trade was a 1996 Merc LS Sable with 84,000 miles. The documentation fee was $295.00 Mass Sales tax $1107.00 I think this was a good deal. If you would like info on dealer let me know.

It is a Very Good Deal for a GLS base model Santa Fe and it would be a GREAT deal for an SE (Mid tier model) or an AWESOME deal for the LE(Top model usually with leather interior)!

DON'T Let this one get away!!!

Could there be something wrong with it? Isn't it odd that they would be selling a used 08 with only 170 miles on it? Do they have to tell me why it's used?

I surely would want to know the circumstances. A dealer demo could have way more than 170 miles on it and still be considered a new vehicle; the fact that they're selling it as "used" raises some red flags - that means the car was sold and titled, then somehow came back to the dealership. Did the buyer default? Was it in an accident? What about the warranty? I would proceed with caution on this one.

I just bought a 2008 slate blue FWD GLS AUTO with the premium #3 package
MSRP = $25,647
Edmunds.com TMV with the $2000 rebate factored in is $22,651.

I paid $22,018 plus tax and title. Good deal or not so much?

Thanks,

I purchased my GLS in April of 2007 and it has all wheel drive, auto trans, premium pkg., and touring pkg. for $24.400, I think you could have gotten a little better deal if you haggled some more, not bad though. Mine stickered for $27,600.

New Santa Fe in Colorado by denvertrakker

First, I would like to thank the many helpful people who have posted information in this forum. Your input and expertise was invaluable in our decision. As several people suggested, We bought our car (yesterday) from Arapahoe Hyundai. After getting quotes from several dealers in the area, they were far and way the least expensive. The buying experience was quick, clean, and hassle-free. We ended up with an '08, SE AWD in Natural Khaki with Premium Package, floor mats, roof rails, wheel locks and the cargo tray. MSRP was $28,860, and we paid $24,199 plus tax and title, after the rebate. If my figuring is correct, this works out to somewhat more than $1100 below invoice, so I think we got a pretty good deal. AND WE LOVE THE CAR!

Thats a very good buy. My wife and I bought the exact same vehicle last week with the MSRP of $28,865 in slate blue. I traded in an old 96 Merc Sable. I haggled a little more and then they offered to install a factory trailer hitch, which as an accessory is $300.00. We paid $22,150,plus sales tax and title. We live in Massachusetts. We read quite a few of these forums for Hyundai, Rav4 and the Outlander before we made our decision. The $2000.00 Rebate also helped. Good luck and enjoy the ride.
