Replying to: mdbpetry1 (Mar 20, 2008 4:56 am) They're essentially selling the car to you for $60 under invoice. It's at best an "OK" deal but by no means a great one. Many here have bought for $500 - $1500 under invoice, LESS rebates.

Replying to: mdbpetry1 (Mar 19, 2008 12:43 pm) I'm not as concerned about whether he got the absolute best deal on price.   My concern is that while I love the Slate Blue/Grey Leather combo, my understanding is that Grey Leather is only available on the 2007 Limited Santa Fes and not on the 2008s. I'd call that an excellent deal as long as the dealer doesn't try to stick you with any add-on costs besides sales tax and registration. (Don't let them stick you with "dealer fees" in addition to your agreed-upon purchase price.)

I just bought a 08 Santa Fe SE AWD V6 Premium Pkg Roof Rails Mud Guards Cargo Tray Carpeted Mats. It had a MSRP of $28,865. One dealer gave me a price of $22,000 with my trade. Second dealer gave me a price of $22,150 with my trade. When I started to leave he then threw in a trailer hitch and installation and a Jensen GPS which is worth about $250.00. My trade was a 1996 Merc LS Sable with 84,000 miles. The documentation fee was $295.00 Mass Sales tax $1107.00 I think this was a good deal. If you would like info on dealer let me know.
