My wife and I are trying to buy a SE model 2008 Santa Fe. I was hoping for some advice on a couple of fronts. First, does anyone have any experiences with any dealers in NC, especially around Greensboro? Second, whats a good starting point to begin negotiating? Edmunds lists the invoice at around $23,000 so I thought of starting at $22,500. Lastly, I have good credit, so I calculated that taking the $2000 rebate would be better than any APR deals since I should be able to get about 5%-6% financing. $22,500 - $2000 rebate - $1500 tradein = $19000 Does that look about right or am I way off? thanks in advance

Lately there have been quite a few posts requesting opinions on pricing, "Is this a good deal?", "How much should I pay?", etc. Unfortunately, most of these requests come with insufficient information to respond with sound advice. When asking such questions here on the forum, you'll get much more qualified responses if you include: - The vehicle's M.S.R.P. - The vehicle's invoice price (easily available at Edmunds.com) - All specific model info (including year, trim level, FWD / AWD) - All options Failure to provide this info just forces potential respondants to look it up; I for one simply will no longer take the time to do that. If you provide the info, however, I'll always do my best to offer sound advice. Just a thought.
