Dealers in Arizona? by oceanblu

Does anyone have info on Hyundai dealers in Arizona? Am looking for a hassle free good deal on a 07 or 08 Santa Fe; prefer SE, but might go for a GLS.
I would travel a distance to neighboring states to get a better deal if necessary.
Thanks for all the great comments!

Hyundai just raised the rebates on the 2008 Santa Fe from $500 to $2000.

2007 went from $1500 to $2500.

Just purchased a 2007 SE AWD, with the $2500 rebate, we drove away for $22,000.

We're happy with the price.

Ocean, I'm in Phoenix area, I shopped Larry Miller, Chapman and North Scottsdale Hyundai. Got the best treatment and by far the best pricing at North Scottsdale. They have good stock of '08s, the other dealers still are trying to get rid of 07s. NS gave me a better deal on an 08 than Chapman worked up on an 07, plus the sales manager at Chapman was insulting. I figure they should treat a cusomter better.

Want to buy 2008 Santa Fe in North Carolina by trumpetpa

My wife and I are trying to buy a SE model 2008 Santa Fe. I was hoping for some advice on a couple of fronts. First, does anyone have any experiences with any dealers in NC, especially around Greensboro?

Second, whats a good starting point to begin negotiating? Edmunds lists the invoice at around $23,000 so I thought of starting at $22,500.

Lastly, I have good credit, so I calculated that taking the $2000 rebate would be better than any APR deals since I should be able to get about 5%-6% financing.

$22,500 - $2000 rebate - $1500 tradein = $19000

Does that look about right or am I way off? thanks in advance

I'd offer $1500 under invoice (minus all applicable rebates) but that's probably a lowball offer. Still, it's a good starting point. If you end up buying for $500 - $1500 under invoice (LESS rebates) you'll have gotten a deal that you can feel very good about.

Mpuzach, thanks for the response.. I feel real dumb now since I just bought a 2008 Altima for $100 below invoice I thought dealers just wouldn't sell for under invoice, I must be really uninformed.. So starting at 21,500 would be your suggestion?

21,500 - 2000 rebate - 1500 trade = 18000

I'd buy that right now if I could

Fitzmall on the internet and in Maryland offered the best price on a Santa Fe. If I had settled on a SF I would have bought it there.
