I can't help you with regard to Colorado dealers (I'm in California) but I can tell you that I'm extremely pleased with my 2007 Limited AWD (leather and all). I've owned some very nice (and much more expensive) vehicles over the years and this Santa Fe really holds its own. It's a genuine pleasure to drive.

Regarding SE vs. Limited, to me the Limited is a no-brainer. Besides the leather, consider that it gives you:

  • Dual-zome automatic climate control

  • Rear spoiler (which is more than just a styling element - it helps keep the rear window free of water during light rain)

  • Infinity audio system (N/A on SE)

  • HomeLink (optional on SE)

  • Ability to order navigation (N/A on SE)

  •
    Just something to consider.

Thanks for your thoughts, mpuzach. Here's my take on the "no brainer":

Really REALLY don't like leather. Cloth is much more grippy on the twisties, plus cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

Auto climate control: I'll do it myself, thanks! 8>)>

No need for HomeLink (no garage).

Navigation? Pssshhh. Mountains, west. Plains, east.

    Horses for courses, I guess.

I recommend the Arapahoe dealer in Centenniel. Got mine there in May'07
    All the best.

I have a quote from a local dealer of $24,990 for a '08 SE with Premium Package. Good deal?

I love the leather seats. I'm not that tall, so it's easier for me to slide across the seat when getting in. My seats are heated - love those toasty buns and back!

    2008 SE FWD W/Basic Package by dm126

    Hi,
I just bought (this week) a 2008 SE FWD with just the basic package.Vehicle came with wheel locks and cargo cover and the color is Deepwater Blue. I purchased for approx. $1500 under invoice. My price (before tax, tags, etc) was $21,500. I'm no car buying expert, but I used Edmunds to get dealer quotes and purchased ($14) the Consumer Reports New Car Price Service to help me get a feel for the dealer costs. Dealer was basically "no-hassle" and they even took my trade-in (2000 Mazda MPV w/188,000 miles and flashing check engine light!) I'm pretty happy with the deal. FYI I live in the Northern VA/Wash. DC area.

I'm in the same area. Which dealer did you buy it from?

Brown's Manassas Hyundai. Also got a pretty good deal offer from Fairfax Hyundai, but went with Brown's. Both dealerships seemed pretty easy to deal with.

I bought my SF from Fairfax Hyundai and they were terrific. I live in MD and drove an hour and a half to buy from them. The Hyundai dealers in Md would not budge on their prices so they lost a sale. Fairfax Hyundai was very easy to deal with.

I agree with the other posts about Arapaphoe and June Reynolds. We got an 07 AWD Limited with premium package from June Reynolds a year ago for $25,200 OTD. Great experience.
