| Rebates are changing Oct 1 for Sante Fe. Does anyone have any gut feeling on whether to wait to get more than the $2,000? Seems like a lot of cars they need to get rid of. Maybe bigger rebates?? Also, anyone have a good price on LTD AWD Premium package. MSRP $29,860 | |

I know this is a lease question but I know mpuzach reads this thread & he is knowledgeable. Ihave lease quote on '08 GLS Veracruz: 24 months $249.99 + $15 tax = $264.99 and $2895 cash at signing. Factors to arrive at this are: MSRP $27720, adjusted cost cap $22863,lease factor .00145 = 3.48%, sales tax $560, no security deposit, MV fee $100, Florida fees $67,Doc fees (their extra profit) $615,MVWEA $2, Cap reduction 6% tax $159.L.E.V. Rt amt 66% = $18295, selling price $24915, cash cap reduction $1647, rebate $1000, acquisition fee $595. I am fairly savvy about buying but have never leased so my knowledge is not great. Question is mpuzach: Is this a good deal? I have an idea that it is but not sure. I have read all the great answers from mpuzach so that's why here instead of the Veracruz lease forum. Just trying to get valuable info. Thanks in advance. Flwonder

Replying to: flwonder (Sep 27, 2007 4:18 pm) Always look at what price you have settled on. In your case you a paying about 3.5% under MSRP. $22,863 + 1,000 + 2895 = $26,758. Maybe a better number is invoice about 26,000 - 1,000 - 2895. I would always do a lease without any down payment/ For example price of 26,100 -1,000 = 25,100. That becomes your adjusted cost (ignoring acquistion fee). Monthly payment would be $346 before your sales tax. BUT no downpayment. Keep your money. |

A reporter from a national newspaper is hoping to talk to consumers who purchased a car recently instead of waiting, fearing that prices may rise as the dollar weakens. Please reply to ctalati |

| Got an AWD Ltd X/M premium package with carpet and cargo tray with the $2,000 rebate for $25,000 out the door (not including sales tax and license). Was pleased that there was no hangling for price. | |

Got tired of haggling with the dealers in our area. So I contacted Fitzgeralds (thanks to this forum for the lead) and then the wife and I drove to DC (300 miles!) to pick up the car. It was a pleasure to execute a business deal with this company; great customer service. I wasted more time and energy haggling with local dealers, trying to get them to match Fitz's price, than it took to make the road trip. Wish I had driven up 3 weeks ago when we decided to purchase a Sante Fe. 2007 Sante Fe Limited Premium Package Mats, Tray, and Pinstripped $1589 Under Invoice including their $99 fee. $1000 Rebate Final cost to me: $2589 under invoice plus TTL. Exactly what's advertised on Fitzmall.com. The car averaged 24.7 mpg on the 300 mile trip home.
