Replying to: covert7 (Sep 06, 2007 12:08 pm) '07 SE 3.3L FWD I asked for the touring package (3rd row) I was told MSRP was 24,829 (which is darn close to Edmunds) Then I was told they will do 20,320 (1k rebate + 500 finance rebate) +TTL. Offer is good for 10 days. hoping to shave a little more off when I go in, but not sure what to expect happy hunting!

Replying to: sammyz (Sep 06, 2007 7:58 pm) I bought my AWD SE w/Touring pkg last feb with Snow on the ground...bad time to buy a 4WD in Nevada! I paid about $1800 more (adjusting $2k for my AWD) and am still happy as a clam. NEVER thought I would EVER own something that said Hyundai but the SF is a joy. BTW: I am used to buying a new vehicle every few yrs...I think that has stopped, as the SF is not lacking anywhere that i have seen during my 6 months of ownership. Amazingly I have not become bored with it either. (my downfall) Remember that there are just so many 07's left and IMHO dealers will be going for the neck when the 1st 08s hit the floor! Also depends on how many 07's your dealer actually has. remember, they are fair game for other dealers in the system as well!! My advice...when you hit the "wall" stop and buy it...you will not look back! Good Luck with your purchase, and do check that all TSB's have been done to it since it is an early build: ie: front dome light, ambient temp sensor wiring and a few other things mentioned here on the forum. maybe you can get them to throw in at least the "special" Hyundai trailer prewire harness as well...about $81 retail! Having to buy that proprietary harness burned my butt after the Touring pkg said "prewired for trailer...I figured it just needed an ordinary $35 converter!

If you have followed my posts in recent days, you'll see I brokered a deal to buy a Limited FWD on Sep. 4. We went last night(Sep 5) to sign the final papers and write a check. Imagine our surprise when the salesman said we were getting another $500 off due to the new month's rebate of $1500 on the Sant Fe. I went to the Hyundai USA website this morning and see no mention of it. Maybe it is just lagging. Surely this is not just a Texas incentive. Either way, we asked no questions and gladly paid $500 less than expected. This brought our price down to $23,014 before TTL, but including $2000 in rebates ($1500 plus $500 military). For those who have followed my thread, this made our final price 85% of MSRP ---- Fitzmall's prices are about 83-85%, so I feel pretty good. Thank God for perfect timing! On a side note, my radio/XM did not work when we picked it up at near closing time, so I have to bring it back today --hope this is not a sign of things to come. Also, I noticed considerable wind noise driving home last night. Anyone have any wind noise problems with their Santa Fe? |

I bought a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited FWD last month at a local dealership. Went the day before to take a test drive and hash out the numbers if I were to buy. I only wanted OTD numbers and we got down to my trade in for $2500 and an OTD price of $22,500 for the truck. Went home and thought about it and took the deal. When all was said and done I got $3000 for my trade in to make the deal work. Still got my 22.5k OTD....... And I only paid $300 more for my trade in 5 years ago. I was happy.

Replying to: leed006 (Jun 28, 2007 9:42 am) I received email quotes for a Ltd with touring and premium package (one bid was "bait and switch" - so I left). I haggling now. was quoted $25414 and I thought that was a little high ($800 less on Fitzmall, less than what you quoted, less than the $24350 that someone esle quoted) Looking for advice amd considering waiting the 2 weeks and buying an '08. MSRPs are in the 29K according to Edmunds. and Invoices are closer to $26800 (dealer holdback is $835) Thanks |

Replying to: gizzer777 (Sep 06, 2007 8:25 pm) Am finding out that several dealerships in Dallas are just emailing back with a "yes, we have it" to get you in the door. Another one emailed me a price and didnt feel like any further negotiations where in order (they were 1K high) and would not counter my offer. Fortunately, I have more time than money.
