Thanks for the tip about Easterns. I was actually going to call them today for a price quote. I had asked for a quote by e-mail and specifically asked not to be called or sent a message that did not include a price, and they were the only dealership that did not respect this request (they have called twice so far). I was a bit disappointed with some of the other quotes I got, so I thought of calling them despite my initial qualms. These two messages have decided it - I ain't calling them! Btw, Raigan - where did you buy? I am in Falls Church, VA, and would be interested if you bought in area. Chris

Replying to: chrislegg1 (Aug 26, 2007 10:19 am) I bought mine at Fairfax Hyundai and got a great price. The service was okay (not stellar, but certainly not bad) and they had a large inventory for what I wanted and were able to beat my Fitzmall price by about $800 bucks. (The details of my price paid are listed on this thread a couple of pages back). My sales guy told me they still had plenty of '07's and needed to clear them out for the '08's arrival. I would think they would be bending over backwards since they are coming up to the end of the month. Did you get a Fitzmall quote and ask Fairfax if they could beat it to make it worth your while? Nothing like a good dose of competition to help out the consumer If you have any other questions, let me know. This site was truly invaluable when I was deciding on buying my SF and I'm happy to pay it forward.

| Purchased SF Ltd with Premium Pkg, mats, cargo tray and wheel locks. It had one of those phony "protection pkg" uplifts which I told him I don't pay for. Actual MSRP was $27,320. We settled on $24K (plus TTL) including the $1K rebate. Also took the $500 financing incentive. So $2,320 off the MSRP. Thrown in from sticker #2 was Protection Package (anyone know what that is-I'm guessing Turtle Wax), very nice pinstripe, door visors and mud splash guards. I'm assuming that stuff got me to about $2,500 under MSRP. With the finance incentive I left happy paying $23,500 for a very handsome automobile. Color is Natural Khaki (although it doesn't look like any of the khakis in my closet). | |

Replying to: hamsfc (Aug 26, 2007 11:07 pm) Anyway, I picked up my SF this weekend from Towne in Buffalo for $26,300 OTD, and imported it to Canada without a hitch. It's the AWD Limited with Premium package, in Silver. I really wanted the Natural Khaki, but they couldn't find one close enough with the premium package. I wanted to ask what others are paying for the extended warranty, and if it's worth it or not. I was offered a price of around $1400, but I've been seeing people in this thread getting it for well under $1000. I couldn't find the link that was posted earlier, does anyone have any contacts to get the warranty for cheaper? |

Replying to: spdztr (Aug 27, 2007 6:20 am) I paid $1429 for the extended service and maintenance contract. I drive 25K miles/yr so having bumper-to-bumper for 4 years w/no mileage limit, plus having all my service appointments prepaid made good sense to me. I like the feeling of being finished with my car expenses. I honestly didn't realize the contract was a negotiable item since I was buying it through the business/finance manager. |

I'm currently negotiating on a 2007 Santa Fe SE 2WD (w$95 floor mats). (Of course there is always about $895 of dealer add ons like pin stripe and other such 'junk' for the other handwritten sticker price.) The MSRP is $24,595. Besides the $1000 rebate, I get $500 buyer loyalty rebate, and $500 financing rebate. Taking us to $22,595. My 2005 GLS Tucson trade has 30,900 miles very nice /exc cond is being offered at a $11,500 trade value (which I think is very good based on research). NJ sales tax is 7% The current offer I have is finance $10,682, "Out The Door Price" including tax Should I hold out for $10,100 ? A second dealer told me they couldn't come within $500 of the $10,100 otd, and if the first dealer keeps his word at $10,682, I should go for it. Tell me if you think I have squeezed them enough? Is the one dealer getting a bigger kickback or hungrier for their monthly quota? The dealer that gave up only offered $9,700 on the trade. I hope to make a decision today....before I put more miles on my trade. Luv Hyundai's. This will be my fourth! Pam |
