I seem to recall a thread about someone using one of those CC check offers to purchase his SF. BTW: My credit is excellent as well...Now the kicker. Just a received a notice from a credit Card company that they were increasing their rates by about 7% FOR EVERYONE! (mine was under 9% "for life". I used traditional financing for my SF (3 yrs only) (paid 3/4 cash)since I never run balances with CC companies and have always been leary of those OFFERS. THE COMPANY IS CAPITAL ONE so beware! First they hook you on the teaser rate and then set the hook... Make sure you either have the cash at hand or other REAL financing available, when or if they try to scam you! A better move for those so inclined is to use your Home equity line and deduct the interest....These CC companys are all a bit "shady" if given the chance IMHO My prediction is they will all follow suit...My response was "keep your card"....I do not need it, Been with them over 10YRS with a 50k line...I am still in shock they would pull this kind of stuff, and feel sorry for those poor souls that got sucked in, owing a balance. It was fun when you could take their $$ at $1.99% (as long as the fee was capped) and put it in a short term CD at 5% and then pay it back off before the teaser rate ended! |

Dealers that don't want to sell as cheaply may claim there isn't that much dealer incentive cash out there, but I think there is. Fitzmall is also known to be straight shooters. Towne usually beats them on price, but at this point in time 07 selection is getting tight so if Fitz has what you want and Towne doesn't I would not hesitate to buy from Fitz.

Then title & reg (including temp NJ title if you're from out of state) is $200 [so they make some money on that paper work] plus your state's sales tax and you are out the door. Towne's prices were over $1K better than Fitzmall's, and the Fitz prices at the time were for pre-XM vehicles. Go to Edmunds to find the invoice price of the car you want. Then go to Towne and see their selling price to see how much below invoice it is. Then subtract all rebates you qualify for. When we bought in Feb., we also qualified for "owner loyalty" which wasn't listed on the web site at that time. You'd have to go alot to find a better buying experience, including Fitzmall. P.S. The 3 of us who bought cars from them are in S.W. CT, about 100 miles away. Just check their internet price and then call them to confirm the price of the car you want. |

Just purchased a Limited AWD SF w/ XM, Touring and Premium Package, and mats from Brad Benson. Out the door price was $28800. Hers's the breakdown. Negotiated Price: $27372.90 NJ Tax : 1916.10 Subtotal : 29289.00 4 yr mv : 354.00 Doc fee : 149.50 NJ Tire Tax : 7.50 Subtotal : 29800.00 (rebate) : -1000.00 --------------------------- Total : 28800.00 Not bad for an end of the month sale.

How long one can wait before purchasing extended warranty on Santa Fe? Does it have mileage/time limit. I am planning to contact dealer listed on checkbook.org. Is there any catch? Is this coverage same as what any Hyundai dealership would offer? Thank you. |

Just came home with my wife's new Limited Santa Fe. Slate Blue with black leather, Premium Touring package, wheel locks and mud flaps. Got over $2000 UNDER invoice before rebates. I have been researching this vehicle for the past month here and other places. Thanks for all of the great info. This vehicle is a pre-xm radio model. When I got to the dealer we realized once we were on the test drive. Even though my wife wanted it, the way I look at it it's one less bill each month. We originally were going to go for the SE with the premium package but it's getting a bit tough to find the color/feature combination now for a 2007. This Limited jumped in front of us and they made us a deal that was very hard for us to refuse. I really am not crazy about the leather but it's my wife's truck and she said to do the deal so I did. S & S was fantastic to work with and the sales manager was very helpful over the past month. Our next vehicle purchase will be with them again.

Anyone heard anything about what incentives Hyundai will be offering this month? Nothing on their website so far. Chris
