Just wanted to let you know how happy I am with my Limited AWD with Premium Package. I got mine nearly 2 months ago (Steel Gray / Black leather) and couldn't be more pleased with it. I assume that since you're in Minneapolis you'll be getting AWD, correct? Here in California, at least, AWD Limiteds are tough to find. I hope you're able to locate what you're looking for. Good luck! - Mike

Got an email about the Honda Pilot just going up to $3500 rebate. Maybe the 10th? |

I'm totally new at buying cars a) $30,400 for a Santa Fe Ltd AWD with both touring and ultimate packages b) $27850 for a Santa Fe Ltd AWD with touring package, sunroof and aftermarket installed DVD. (Basically what dealer said I would not get is the souped up sound system and the passenger power seats that would come with the ultimate) B sounds like a good deal but not sure since this is not how the Santa Fe is typically sold. Any thoughts? Should I try to get a lower price? Also, any thoughts on when the 2008s are coming out and if it makes sense to wait for those? Any intell on what the 2008s will have over the 2007s?

Replying to: girlnextdoor (Jul 06, 2007 9:30 pm) B is about $29,163. You'll have to figure in something for the DVD, maybe $600? Less the $1,000 rebate you're at $28,773. Looks like they are giving you invoice and nothing else. With '08's due out in September I would try to do better. '08's will be about the same except later '08's will have Nav available. |

I'm going to go in tomorrow to talk to them about buying the Santa Fe Ltd with AWD, ultimate and touring packages. Talking to other inexperienced people, we hear about things ilke rust proofing options, extended warranties etc... What else is truly useful to buy and how much should I be expected to pay for these add-ons and what are just money making scams that they throw on in the last minute to get more out of you? Thanks again for the advice!

Replying to: girlnextdoor (Jul 08, 2007 6:07 am) on Monday. I think most of us are hoping for an increase. I'm only looking for the following on the Ltd I want: Premium Pkg (leather and sunroof) Mud Flaps (to keep the back clean or so I'm told) Cargo Tray (I have a Great Dane who will travel in back and I want to prevent stains and dirt) That's it for me. Oh, and the 10 year/ 100,000 mile HPP (bumper to bumper) which you can get for $759. |
