My 2007 came with dividers. (I don't remember how many; at least 2, I believe.)

My 2007 also came with 2 dividers. First the roof rack cross bars, and now the cargo bay dividers, is Hyundai getting like Honda on the 2008s, making accessories like these dealer options?

#399 of 446 After Market Stereo with Steering Wheel Controls? by hammer19

I've been contemplating upgrading my 2007 Santa Fe's stereo. The factory one I currently have is pretty basic with the MP3, single-play CD and no built-in XM Radio. I want to use my iPod and get rid of MP3 discs altogether, so I have been looking at Alpine iPod-friendly units, plus I've seen some info on adapters that allow you to still use the steering wheel controls. I've currently got a nice Alpine deck in my '03 Maxima SE but it doesn't have an adapter for the steering wheel controls in it at all. Has anyone out there looked into this and can advise me if it's a good idea. I love the Santa Fe but the stereo in it is pretty limited and the MP3 shuffle is very frustrating at times.....it's about the only complaint I have about it since buying it last August...........any advice?
Thanks.

I, too was disappointed with the standard (non-Infinity with XM) stereo in my 2007 Limited but in different ways. To me, the sound quality simply wasn't acceptable regardless of which source I listened to. I ended up replacing all of the factory speakers with Polks (components in the front, single drivers in each back door). I also added an MTX external amplifier (mounted under the front passenger seat). The improvement was dramatic, even without a subwoofer. True, I still don't have multiple disc capability or an MP3 input but those things aren't as important to me as maintaining use of the steering wheel buttons and keeping the stock look of the center stack (which IMO is one of the Santa Fe's strongest visual highlights). Between XM and MP3 discs, I'm fine.

Can anyone tell me if the upgraded Infinity stereo has a speed sensitive option on it so that the volume adjusts for the speed you are going?

It adjusts, but only by 3 - 5 decibels.

I made the exact same upgrade that you did! I had Polk Audio speakers (components in front and coaxials in the rear) installed, along with a 4x100 MTX amp under the front passenger seat. The amp was a tight fit and required some slight trimming of the air duct, but wow! It sounds great!

I haven't replaced the head unit, yet. I'd like one that has a good ipod interface (displays track info on the head unit and allows control of the ipod from the head unit), HD radio, and that has an adapter that works with the Santa Fe's steering wheel controls. The ones I've looked at in the past had adapters for Honda and Toyota steering wheel controls, but not the 07+ Santa Fe, so I've so far not made the upgrade. I probably will make the upgrade in the next year, though.

#404 of 446 Add PowerOutlet by altibird

Feb 26, 2008 (6:46 pm)

Hi: I have a 2004 and I want to add another power outlet up front on the center console. I figure the easiest way would to connect to either the cigarette lighter or the other power outlet. How do I gain access to the back area, or is there an easier way to do this? thanks much

#405 of 446 A question for 2007 & 2008 Santa Fe owners by thenetguy

Feb 27, 2008 (7:47 am)

I own a 2008 Santa Fe and I've been searching for dividers for the cargo area in the back. I have found someone that sells them but they are very expensive. Does anyone know of other places and, more importantly, I'm I the only one that wants these dividers? Please let me know. Thanks

#406 of 446 Fog lights by eartiles

Mar 11, 2008 (6:39 pm)

I have a 2007 SF GLS and want to install fog lights. Does anyone know if all models are prewired to install the factory fog light? If so, do I only need to purchase the lights and the dash switch from the dealer? Thanks.
