Hello I own a 2001 Lincoln Ls V8 and the pillar post and rocker panel have started to become dull in color and I would like to replace them. The only replacements I can find include the use of 3m adhesive tape and I dont really wanna use tape. If any knows of any other parts without the use of adhesive tape please RESPOND to my post any help would be greatly appreciated and I am sure everyone else will benefit from your in put

Have you tried cleaning the posts and restoring the finish?

I've had mine dull a little and have had pretty good luck shining them up. Perhaps a product like 3M finish restorer or something like that would work for you and be much, much cheaper. If you are willing to swap them out for new ones - why not try to restore them and if you ruin them along the way - then you'll have to replace them.

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions with the actual replacementparts.

What's up guys & gals? I'm looking to see what all I can do to my LS (2002) v6
This is my want/wish list that I need info on.
Air intake
Speed chip/super chip
Mesh Grill for the lower front.
Maybe a black metal grill for the upper front.
Eng. Dress-up kit.
Clear side markers,headlight, & taillight.
Ground effects/Body Kit
Underbody light kit
20" Dub spinners/floaters.

I think that about covers it.

Give me any input or thoughts?

Thanks, Ghost

I have used the stainless pillar post covers with 3M tape on my '99 Town Car. Looks good on the Town Car but would look overdone on an LS. I have used all sorts of polishes on the stock posts but they did not come back to the factory look. The tape is very thin and is applied to the new post covers, you would need to follow the instructions very carefully as I did not and had to buy 1 extra post.

Speaker Re-placement by lssoul

I am about to replace my speakers in my 2000 Ls. I read that I must remove the entire door panel. Is this true. I have a blow by blow on the door removal, but wanted to ask if were true. How hard is it to remove the rear speaker cover in the trunk, it takes up so much room.

I install the speakers. It was very easy. You can pop the speaker covers off, but you can't get to the screws holding the speakers. Perfect 5x7 fit. Oh yea, door panels did come off. I used SDAT's
