ocuihs very nicely responded to my original message, however the post (#594) doesn't show up here (I may be being incredibly dense, but I can see 593 and 595, but no 594). I can only see half the response in the email notification I received.

Am I being stupid?

moshele,

I do know that if you say "transfer" with the HFL system that the call you're currently on will transfer from the car stereo system to your handset. I don't know if it will then go to your headset (as I don't use a headset) but it will go to your handset.

I also am wondering about your Question B. I just bought an 09 EX-L with NAVI and foolishly I assumed that an outgoing or incoming call would be displayed on the navigation screen, but I can't find a way for it to be displayed anywhere (navigation of radio display). Pretty annoying and I hope I am just overlooking something simple, but after reading all the literature and playing around with the car I still couldn't figure it out. I have an 06 acura TL with HFL without navigation which displays all numbers on the car's intrument panel, but it doesn't seem like Odyssey will do this. Hopefully someone will have an answer. I'll try calling Honda on Monday and let you know what they say.

Sadly according to my dealer, even with navigation included, the incoming/outgoing call is not displayed anywhere on the instrument panel, navigation screen or radio area. Apparently the call number information is displayed on the multi information display area (MID) of the touring model only.

iPod/iPhone3G, Hands-free, and charger. A great combo unit for $20! by ocuihs

I tested this unit and recommended: it's a FM transmitter, holder with flexible goose neck, and hands-free (conversation) over car speakers. It charges iPod and iPhone3G. Some reviews from other websites stated annoying minor beeps (iPod) every minute or so. This is confirmed with my iPod, but NO beeps with my iPhone3G.

Just wanted to confirm that the steering wheel controls (CH+/-) work to change TRACKS with the USA Spec unit with the iPhone 3G. I'm thinking about getting one of these.... Thanks.

Jammed CD player, 2005 Honda EX-L by brianmcgann

Hello, we just picked up a 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L yesterday. We love it, but we've discovered that the CD player is not functioning. My guess is that it is jammed and there are CDs in there from the previous owner. I've glanced around online and it seems others have had problems w/ the CD player in the '05 Odysseys, but it doesn't seem like anyone has a solution. Has anyone here discovered a fix? Should our dealer be able to easily fix this? I noticed in the latest Consumer Reports they did say that the audio systems in 05 Odysseys tended to need repair at a greater than average rate. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, the steering wheel controls (CH +/ - ) work to change TRACKS with my unit model PA11-HON2y.

The upgrade/replacement model PA15-HON2 should function the same to change TRACKS with the steering wheel controls (CH +/-).
