We recently got a 2008 Odyssey EX-L with RES/NAV. When listening to plain old FM radio, the radio doesn't provide text with the song/artist. It seems like this has been a common feature in car radios for nearly a decade. I can't find any reference to this in the manual (except for a mention of song/artist display on the XM radio screen). Does anyone know if the Odyssey's radio has the capability to tell me the song/artist on regular FM radio? My pop culture knowledge depends on it. Thanks! kls_125

Happy New Year! I just saw at least 2 cars in the rest area on our road trip and now I'm planning to install one of these navigation interfaces for RES/Navi such as from www.NavTool.com or www.gNetCanada.com Does anyone have any installed pictures/ step-by-step procedures? Please note that I'm aware of all DISCLAIMER such as the navigation interfaces do not replace navigation system they give ability to add external A/V sources. These navigation interfaces are designed for off-road or when vehicle is immobilized. The driver is responsible for maintaining full attention while operating a motor vehicle. The removal or bypassing of safety feature in these navigation interfaces may result in termination of warranty. Using these navigation interfaces improperly will result in injury, citation, and arrest by authorities. Thanks!

Apologies if this has been answered - couldn't find it by searching. What kind of adapter, if any, is available to connect an iPod (mine is a Touch 32) to the Odyssey sound system? If there is none, what do people do? Just use the ear buds? That's not safe, I think :-0 Thanks - appreciate any replies. Carol

Radio Data System, or RDS, is a communications protocol standard from the European Broadcasting Union for sending small amounts of digital information using conventional FM radio broadcasts. The RDS system standardises several types of information transmitted, including time, track/artist info and station identification. RDS has been standard in Europe and Latin America since the early 1990s, but less so in North America. |

USA Spec products are one of the best out there. |

Has anyone else encountered a problem with stripping the screws that are underneath the radio head unit when trying to remove it? I'm trying to install a Parrot Hands-free for my bluetooth phone, and when I went to remove the small screws the head on the first one stripped very easily. It's in a very awkward spot without much room to work on it and everything I tried seems to make it worse. Any thoughts or has anyone else had a similar issue?

Took deliver last night of a brand new 09 Touring. Kids were asleep and very excited to see the van in the driveway this morning. Went out for a drive (with movies in hand to watch) and KURPLUNK!!! No video in the lcd, and seemingly, no power is getting to the RES unit. We do have the dvd movie adio coming from all speakers, just no video. Anybody know where the fuse box is located for the dvd lcd? ps. Glad to know my dealership tested everything before I drove it away ;-(
