no splitter needed for you. I have the exact same model and use that USA spec unit. The AUX port on your radio is empty, and the unit plugs right into that. Since factory XM uses the same port, if you have that, you need the splitter. It isn't the RES or NAV that casues the problem, it's the factory XM set up.

Some audio head units like the Pioneer AVIC-D3 only has one disc slot which can be used for either GPS or CD/DVD at one time but not both. Is it possible to combine it with the CD changer that came with an '07 EX-L, keeping the CD changer? The manual for the D3 is here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069681_36- 9264980_tab=D,00.html?compName=PNA_V3_ProductDetailsComponent It shows that a CD changer may be connected by IP-BUS cable to a satellite tuner then to another satellite tuner then finally back to the head unit -- can the CD changer be connected directly to the head unit by this IP-BUS cable? |

I have a Honda Odyessey 2007 EXL and was able to successfully install an over head DVD monitor and In-dash DVD Player. The DVD Player that we installed is JVC KD-AVX11 which has a small LCD display as well. It kind of nicely fits into the small pocket just under the climate controls and above the glove box. I bought the player attachement kit from Honda (P/N 08B06-SHJ-100) that has the trim and bracket needed. It looks great. I also bought the HON03/PC-SON 03-07 PIE adapter that connects the audio out from the JVC DVD player to the factory installed Radio auxilary input. Every thing works perfect. The guy in Best Buy installed it properly. But now the question I have is , the JVC DVD Player has 4 Audio outs. 2 for Rear speakers and 2 for Front speakers. We were able to connect only 2 front speakers to the HON03/PC-SON 03-07 unit as it has only 2 RCA inputs. Does USASpec PA11-HON2Y unit has 4 audio inputs. If not is there any other product that can do that. Any help appriciated? Thanks in advance

Replying to: donalduck (Dec 03, 2007 11:53 pm) There are many ways to make dvd backups. Here is one way which works 100% on my '05 Ody factory RES unit: -- AnyDVD from slysoft_dot_com to unlock commercially produced (Hollywood) dvds -- CloneDVD 2 from slysoft to copy and burn any unlocked (see above) dvd, or any portion (e.g. remove the nag screens and coming attractions) These products aren't free, but there are other methods which are free which will work equally well. Nevertheless, I was happy to pay for these products (and in hindsight, I'm still happy I paid), because they are bulletproof and idiotproof. It's as simple as making toast and almost as fast -- and 100% reliable (at least in my experience). YMMV |
