HONDA ODYSSEY I-POD & BLUETOOTH INTIGRATION by rider_r1

Hello....
I have an 06 Honda Osyssey Touring edition, and I have had trouble finding an answer to my question:
I want to add an I-pod interface (Honda Music Link for I-Pod), and add a Blue tooth from Parrot ck3100, no one has been able to tell me if I can hook up both of these components together, or if I am going to run into a connector problem, because my thought is that both of these may use the same connector to interface, and I may have to use a splitter? does anybody have any insight on this, or if its at all possible, I would like to know before I purchase these products.
I did call but Crutchfield, where I plan on purchasing the Parrot blue-tooth, and they didnt know, I also called Bernardi's who I am planning on purchasing the I-Pod interface from, and they couldnt answer that question either, any help from anybody would be great.

For the parrot kit you will need to buy a special harness. quickconnectproducts has a product for the touring model. It's over 100 USD but it connects to the parrot unit and the factory stereo. For iPod I recommend the USASpec PA11-HON2Y. That one has the splitter. You will have to find this. These units will integrate the stereo. Hope this helps.

I'm getting an '07 EX-L with no NAV or RES. If I get an iPod/AUX kit like the USASpec PA11-HON2Y, do I need to use the splitter in order to keep the factory CD changer?

no splitter needed for you. I have the exact same model and use that USA spec unit.

The AUX port on your radio is empty, and the unit plugs right into that. Since factory XM uses the same port, if you have that, you need the splitter.

It isn't the RES or NAV that casues the problem, it's the factory XM set up.

add head unit but keep CD changer? by shunx

Some audio head units like the Pioneer AVIC-D3 only has one disc slot which can be used for either GPS or CD/DVD at one time but not both. Is it possible to combine it with the CD changer that came with an '07 EX-L, keeping the CD changer?

The manual for the D3 is here:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/product/details/0,,2076_310069681_36- 9264980_tab=D,00.html?compName=PNA_V3_ProductDetailsComponent
It shows that a CD changer may be connected by IP-BUS cable to a satellite tuner then to another satellite tuner then finally back to the head unit -- can the CD changer be connected directly to the head unit by this IP-BUS cable?

Calisteel, I am also trying to burn DVD movies to DVD-R and try to play it in my 07 EXL NR but failed. Are you using the original DVD player that comes with the van? Would you elaborate on how you do that? Also you mentioned the .vob files, how to do that? Many thanks and your technical advice is appreciated.
