Does anyone know of a vendor selling either a discounted or used replacement Rear Entertainment System ("RES") ceiling unit (everything that mounts in the ceiling)? The dealer price for a RES ceiling unit is nearly $2600, even though the *entire* RES (including the player unit in the dash and an upgraded head unit in the dash) is only a $1600 option on a new 2007 Odyssey. My ceiling unit (but not my dvd player) was stolen from my 2005 Odyssey, so it sure seems like the cost to replace just part of it should be less than $1600.00. None are on Ebay now and none have been on Ebay in the last 60 days. Froogle.Google doesn't turn up anything useful. Any suggestions?

Replying to: graystrickland (Apr 25, 2007 4:22 pm) Their exploded parts / sub-system views are great. the prices are a side-benefit. Funny, after making that post last night, I commented to my wife, hey, this person is gonna save hundreds based on one hyperlink if he/she chooses to purchase OEM. Even more if aftermarket. Isn't Edmunds great? You are most welcome. As they say, pass it on.

Has anyone come up with a coin/change holder for their van. Prior to the new design in 05 they had one in the pull out cup holder. The new design doesn't have one. Other that using the cup holders when the center console is up what has anyone done. Thanks.....

Replying to: patton (Apr 26, 2007 2:32 pm) i had good luck purchasing the OEM CD player that works with the LX radio&cassette. I bought that on Handa's site. http://www.handaaccessories.com/odyelec02.html follow that link. you'll see the two DVD systems they sell. examine the installation instructions. now then, that should give you an idea what you need to do. if you wanted to do a complete system but aftermarket. isn't the internet great? |
