Hi I have a 1999 300m and I have had two electrical problems that needed to be fix per the maintenance guy. Now my car stopped on me while I had my foot on the brakes at the light. And when I tried to crank it again the engine whould not catch it would try to but would not turn over. I suspected that my gas pump died on me because when i sprayed some starter fluid in the valve it turned over for about 10sec then cut off. So I bought a fuel pump from napa and replaced the old one but it didn't look just like the original. And I put it in anyway. Tried to crank it and it seemed like it was going to start once I sprayed some starter fluid in it again. But no luck. It's doing the same thing it was doing when it cut off on me at the light. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this problem. Thanks for your help |

Replying to: seeburg222 (Apr 22, 2005 12:33 pm) I need a lot of help, with more details regarding changing the battery. Ok, I removed the air intake hose from the air filter but I don't see any screws for the air filter housing unit so how does it come off? It looks attached? Also, what is the louvered plastic wheel house panel? Where is it? Is it part of the front bumper? I have a 2000 Chrystler 300M and have never owned a car where removing the battery is such a hassle. I am so frustrated I am ready to sell it. Please help me and the more details, the better. Also, if you have any diagrams that would help. My e-mail is eric174u

The "louvered plastic wheel house panel" is just the fender liner. You'll have to remove some screws to take it off, and you might have to remove the tire, too. |

My 99 chrysler 300M couldn't start. Look like my fuel pump is not pumping gas. The problem code are P1684, P1490, P1489, P1495. Funny thing is after two days of couldn't start, I was able to start my car a few time and then couldn't start again. Usually I hear the fuel pump after I turn the key to ready to start position but not anymore. Plaese help, Hain
