I would not get the 17" wheels I would go to a reputable tire shop and find out what series you can go up to without rubbing and you will get the ride yo are looking for. possibly a 50 series or taller. you will be surprised what a 45 to 50 will feel like. almost like a Cadillac almost. plus you will keep the look

The problem with this radio is a common one on just about all 2001 and 2002 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, etc. models. It is actually the microprocessor in the radio going bad. I'm not sure why it happens but I have repaired several of them. It does require replacement of the micro with a new version that will permanently fix the problem. You can take it to the dealer and they will replace the radio for you but it is expensive. It can be fixed. I can email you the details. alp442 yahoo.com

I'd like to have those details, too. I believe my email is visible in my profile. Let me know when/if you send them. It's my spam collection email and I rarely check it.
Better yet, just post the details here so everybody can see it.

I've had a similiar experience with the radio on our 2002 300M. I would be interested in knowing how to remedy this without getting an entirely new radio. Thanks.

I have an '01 M. The dahboard has a crack in it that seems ti be gettting longer and becoming more of an eyesore. It's a shame because the rest of the dash/interior/car is virtually perfect. Tried some fill repairs and even had a 'specialist' try to fix it but no luck. Any suggestions? If not, anyone have a dahboard for sale?
Thanks

Same problem on my 2000. Tried products from NAPA, no good. Body/trim shop charged $140 and it started to run again in a few weeks. I stopped the crack with super glue but it is unsightly. Dash covers are available on the internet. I saw some decent ones at www.rockauto.com. Since I didn't want to replace the entire dash or buy a carpet-like cover, I found that one of those sticky pads used to hold your cell phone works fine. Not elegant, but....

Driver's side door handle problem

I have a 2000M with 51,000 on it and the driver's side interior door handle broke. I drove it for a wek or so and opened the door by lowering my window and using the external handle. This is NOT a viable solution in Colorado where it was 18 below in the mornings. My dealer wants $105.46 for the bezel and handle, which is made out of plastic and looks like a kid's toy. Checking TSB, there is a bulletin 2304702, NHTS 1007922, issued in May 2001 regarding this problem. Has anyone had success in getting a dealer fix? The panel actually comes off quite easily and I'd be happy to get this a price break on the part.
Thanks
