| Thank for sympathizing...They actually all of a sudden out of nowhere found the parts after I screamed a little. The only thing was I asked to have the doors lubed because they make a horrible noise, they claim they did but as soon as I got home they were making the noise again. I can't wait tp get a hold of the guy who sold me the car. He said if I ever have a problem let him know, well if he would call me back than I can say my peace. Anyway, thanks again | |

Would any ZX3 owners be interested in setting up your own chat? Edmunds.com would be happy to arrange it for you! Let me know. KarenS Host Owner's Clubs |

I have only owned my '01 ZX3 for 3 weeks. It is "egg yolk yellow". I don't know how they came up with that name; the car is more "canary", and since I bought it at sundown, I didn't realize how bright yellow it was until the next morning. The rear bumper was slightly crooked, and, like everyone else, I'm disappointed with the gas mileage (~25 city/hwy). The car's peppy unless you're going up a hill, and compared to my previous car (Corvette), it's a slug. But compared to other compact cars I've ridden in, the acceleration isn't bad. I like the ride, handling, button locations, stereo (CD). This car is MUCH more comfortable than the Corvette, because it's easier to enter/exit, and it's nice to sit up higher. I bought this car because I wanted better mileage for commuting, I wanted a more comfortable car, and a more dependable car. I've accomplished my goals (although time will tell on dependable...is the '01 free of the recalls that plagued the '00?) - the question now is, will the color grow on me? (in a good way...) -Gary |

| Bought my son a 2000 Dirt Kona and liked it so much that when my Saab 9000 CD died this week, I got myself a Dirt Kona too. The ZX3 is small on the outside and big on the inside--more headroom that the Saab. I love the 16 inch wheels, sophisticated color, and the roof rack really accentuates the roofline. Distinctive car--doesn't look like anything else. | |

My name is Sean, and I just picked up my 2001 infra red ZX3 yesterday. I'm having a tough time today because I've got a lot of busy work to do but I can hear the ZX3 whimpering outside. I think it wants to go for a drive on this beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon here in Seattle. Great little car - I can't wait to get to know it better! |

Bought my 2001 twilight blue ZX3 in September and still get a thrill looking at her and climbing in for a drive. I took two 14 hour trips down south (I'm a New Yorker) and got to know my baby really well, so I don't mind the 9000+ miles on her. I logged on to Edmunds when I was car shopping in August/September and got the answers I needed. Am glad to see there is a ZX3 club and will bookmark the page to stop in more regularly. I remember seeing something about polishing and the problem with it permanently sticking to the molding. Does anyone have a remedy for that problem? Haven't had a problem with polishing yet, but want to be proactive in case it does. Haven't had any major problems with the car yet, but did get a recall for the rear seat hinge and called my dealer - they're going to call me when the part gets in. I did have a problem with a 1 inch scratch in the paint on my hood on delivery and Ford repainted it for me. Unfortunately for me, the clear coat is peeling off. I called about that too, and my dealer said he would take care of the recall and the paint at the same time. I too, noticed the fuel gauge problem but my key was in my pocket when I filled it up. Oh, I noticed that when the roads aren't plowed well or at all, the snow really piles up behind my front tires and causes my wheels to lock if I put on the brakes. I got into the habit of cleaning them before I drive off and avoiding patches of snow but it sometimes is unavoidable. It also doesn't matter how fast or slow I'm going - if there's a lot of snow accumulated, then I have a problem. Any others notice this problem? Any suggestions? |

Know what you mean by the wheel wells filling up with snow. I didn't like the stock Goodyear RS/A tires in the snow and got snow tires. Don't know where your at in NY but I recommend snows in western NYS. Did not have the problem you described with the wheels locking up, but the RS/A are not that great stopping on snow and ice which could have been the problem. If your talking about them locking on bare pavement, I would get that checcked out. Pat |
