2001 Silverado 2500 Reccomended Tire Pressure? by trkoffroad
Apr 21, 2006 (11:23 am)
I have a 2001 Silverado 2500 (Non-HD) Ext. Cab 4x4 6.0L with LT245/75R16 Load Range E's on it.

The drivers door has been replaced and so the sticker that shows the reccomended tire pressure is gone. I sent an email to Chevy but got no response.

Can someone with the same Truck/Tire combo read theirs for me?

Thanks

I have a 2003 with the same tires and the sticker on the drivers door recommends 50 psi front and 80 psi rear.

boondock:

Thanks for the response. Do you run yours that high on the rear when unloaded? Just wondered if the ride was a bit rough with the pressure at 80 psi.

Thanks.

Locking rear differential by wgreen

Does a locking rear differential have any effect on RPMS at a given speed or overall gas mileage?
Am looking at new 1500 models and a lot of them come with this option, don't want to get one if it is going to decrease the miles per gallon.

thanx

Why is it that this particular forum is so damn lame? The Ford and Dodge forums aren't this stupid. Are their just nothing but women here?Hinges?Gas milelage on a truck? Are you all fems? Not that there's anything wrong with that!

Smoother Ride? by cccneal
Aug 03, 2006 (11:16 am)
I had 300lbs in the back of my 04, 2500 silverado the other day. The truck road better than normal. Any thoughts about putting a heavier bumper on the back to give me a smoother ride and still keeping the bed free? Any idea on what the weight of the stock bumper is?

Too funny grabowsky.
Maybe us Chevy owners have a stronger feminine side than Ford/Chrysler owners?
I dunno, but I find myself worrying about the upholstery stitching color a lot lately...hmmm.
