The cars I've noticed with the auto-close feature will ONLY WORK when: The driver puts the key in the drivers door and holds it in the lock position. The all auto-open feature will work when: "Unlock" is held down on the key fob. The driver puts the key in the drivers door and holds it in the unlock position. I would have liked to see both on the 300... or at least the ability to turn the car off and then close the windows. -m |

My SO (girlfriend, let's ferget this PC garbage) bought a Sebring sedan with my 'blessing.' My 'blessing' included me going to the dealership, test driving it, trading my '99 300M in for a '01 300M and telling her to get a new car, since I got a new car. I also told the dealer that if he gave me a good deal, he would have the sale on the Sebring. It's not a 300, but I don't cringe when I have to drive it like I did with her '98 Grand Am... -m |

| myke we are talking about a the switches inside the car to let you just tap them up or down and the window will auto close/open. instead of holding down the whole way. just a convenience. www.autoloc.com sells a remote, and window kit, comes with all stuff needed, about 2 hr install or pay 30 bucks to get it put in. it will allow you to hold down a button and close all windows, or open all windows. small remote. real nice feature in my opinion. just get out the car, be like whoops forgot to roll up windows....click the button right there, and whammo, windows are up, sunroof close.....no wait, i want some air to get thru, click the other button, and let the windows down just a hair, and then your off to wherever...... | |

| I added one of these units to my 300M a few weeks ago, placed the sensors at the corners of the brake lights. And it works WONDERFUL!! It has 2 sensors, and a voice module to tell me how many feet/inches I am from the object.. Got it for $78 from www.autotoys.com - go to the search page and look for "backup alarm" links to direct products don't seem to work too well. | |

the one she got was the 2.7L V6. Certainly not as powerful, it's a hoot to drive a smaller car with similiar characteristics... I can fit into tighter spaces, for instance. -m |

I will give the guy credit on his powder coat job but he took a perfectly good CHROME rim and turned it into NASTY gold (looks extremely cheap) ... I have yet to see a rim that looks good in gold. He did a good job coating them, but he ruined them in the process, they look like
PHASES78 - What is the word on that billet grille?
I FINALLY GOT MY CAR BACK LAST NIGHT !!!!!!!!
Not that anyone cares, but I'm pretty happy about it. =) This weekend I will be installing my Xenon hyperwhite fog lights, removing all of my lettering, and putting in my clock face SCOTIAN made me (thanx again man) and pics will be posted soon after on my website. I bought another 300M emblem (the one from the bottom right rear of the trunk) from the dealer and will be removing the black ones from the front quarter panels and replacing them with the ones from the bottom right trunk area. If it looks GHETTO then I'll just take it back off, but I think it may look good. I have to have something left on the car that matches the emblem on my switchbox. =)
AVALANCHE I will email you back today, I just haven't had a chance until now.

My wife bought an '01 Sebring LXi (V-6, autostick) last November. The car is loaded ($25,000 MSRP)and so far she is very happy with it after 10,000 miles. I enjoy driving it occassionally, and think of it as a 7/8 scale 300M. |

I mounted it right behind my rear passenger seat facing forward, and fiddled with the controls so that it seems to sound right. A couple of the controls don't seem to do much. I'm not an audiophile, but I knew my bass was not what it should have been, and now it's much better. I secured it by a 10" piece of thin flat metal holding in place two screws which go through the trunk "carpet" and through the forward/front two Basslink feet with spacers and wing nuts. When I accelerate it should be held in place, and when I decelerate the back of the seat will stop it from going too far. If I drive with the seat down, I'll have to add another screw in back, I suppose. |
