Phases and i tooka little side trip to a nearby Chrysler dealer and took a 2001 300M PHP for a spin. great car we both have non PHP's and wanted to see what the big diff was and compare notes.
 I can definently tell a braking and steering response improvement. lane changes and turns were much flatter and smoother.
 
for curiosity we asked the dealer about what he'd sell for. the sticker on the car was $35,180 with a $1500 rebate. his price to me with my 99 300M 60K miles as a trade.... I'd have to come up with $16K. this car was manuf. 9-29-00 has been on this lot for several months and he has two of em, Identical. after a few mins of "discussion" he "showed" his invoice for the car $31,850 and said that w/ a $1500 rebate was best he could do. Geez.
So we left. no wonder the cars both of em are still sitting there. Great cars, Lousy sales team.
 
When we got back to my house we dicovered a faux paus. We'd but a wet towel and 2 ice pack on top of the intake to cool it down to change the plugs for new Platinum+4's guess what I'd forgot to check before I closed the hood for our little trip and we we got back there they still were.
One had gotten hot and melted but no damage to anything. just embarrasing as all get out.
 we had quite a good laugh on that one.

that pic of the three M's tnsc posted, that, or the one thats just like that but with us standing by our cars, we be good canidate for front page eh? hehe. good example of different M's

I drove by some POC that had little color neon light tubes at the top of its windows (they sort of had a TV static action to them, not a "solid" light, interesting). They must have seen my NRA logos glowing in my back window because a little later, not to be outdone, it zoomed by with purple neon glowing beneath it. What a sight!

It sounds like my front suspension is about to collapse. Before there were just squeaks, related to up/down motion and particularly steering, but now each time I hit any bump at all under 40 mph it sounds like someone's hitting it with a baseball bat -- LOUD thumping and grinding, related only to up/down motion. From the outside, it makes a loud clicking noise instead. Also from the outside, I could swear that one of the rear wheels clicks as it goes over a speedbump.
 
Any ideas? I'll bring it in on Monday; it had better still be making this noise.

Dude when you get that checked out, please post the results. When I drive my car I hear this like clang sound coming from the right rear tire. I've shook and beat all parts of this car and can't duplicate it until I hit a bump. Sounds like some metal. I haven't been able to take it to a dealership, partially because my extended warranty doesn't start until the end of this month and I don't want to take my car in as SOON as my warranty kicks in. Would seem a bit suspicious.

I thought you couldn't extend warrantys after the original expires. Your car is not under warranty at all right now?

I have an extended warranty through Warranty Gold.
It takes affect 1 month/1000 miles after signing up.

your problem should be covered by factory warranty---I dont think that extended warranty kicks in until the factory warranty expires---I would take it into the dealer immediately and tell them to correct the prob under warranty---

I too have the Warranty gold warranty it starts the day my Chrysler warranty ends. It is another reason I am keeping my car. To pay 16K for what I basicly have already doesn't make too much sence. And as for the special I do not think it will show up my M too much if it does at all. Will wait for the N to come out and see.
