When I purchased my used 300, there was a dried liquid on the back side of the plastic that separates me from the gauges in my dash...I tried unscrewing the screws directly above the gauges, but can't get plastic to pop out. Is there something I am missing or an easier way to get to this part?

Hello,
I have just recently purchased a 300M. I would like to know if the controls on the steering wheel (Cruse control, set, coast etc.) are supposed to light up at night? Also, whether the heater control knob is supposed to light up?
 Thanks for any assistance!

Hello,
I have just recently purchased a 2004 300M. I would like to know if the controls on the steering wheel (Cruse control, set, coast etc.) are supposed to light up at night? Also, whether the heater control (Fan) knob is supposed to light up?
 Thanks for any assistance!

The cruise control lights do not light up. The fan knob should. bulb is probably bad.

Yes, everything that looks like it should be illuminated, should be. If you are referring to a round control knob that is usually black and assembled with the climate controls, no not the entire knob, just the background.

On1Wheel --I have now had two of these brackets break as you describe. I bought a new glass the first time but am thinking of welding it like you did.
JB Weld glue did not hold.
How did the welding hold for you and is is hard with a MIG wire welder? thanks Roger

Steering issues by markflores28

i just purchased a 99 chrysler 300 m, car has ran great for about a week now, but unfortunatly all good things come to an end i guess.. yesterday i started noticing whenever i hit my breaks, and have to make a left or right turn, or even a u- turn of some sorts steering wheel becomes very tight and i have to use all my might and both hands to turn vehicle, it feels as if power steering goes out, However as long as im driving and not hitting breaks the steering works just fine, which makes me think its not the power steering but something to do with the breaks somehow... this trouble all started to occur yesterday after i had parked my car for a moment to run into the store, i did put on my emergency break because the parking space was at a slight tilt. when i drove away from that store the trouble began.. can anyone please help me?

My 99 chrysler 300m has steering issue.. the only time i can feel power steering working is when im hitting the gas on my car, if not hitting gas on the car, steering becomes very stiff and have to use two hands and alot of force to turn steering wheel, what can this be?
