Bigmike- Where do you live? For quite some time now, Chrysler has had 0.0% for 60 months or $3000 cash back on all 2003 300Ms, Concordes, and Intrepids. In addition, the 2004's also have a $1000 rebate. I'm fairly sure this is everywhere--but I don't know why you haven't heard of it.
pster- I wouldn't bet on the Accord rear end getting much of any design change. Usually, all Honda's go about 3 full years before they even remotely modify any design details, and even when they do, it's just something like new tailight lenses (not a new design though), a slightly updated grill, and new wheels. It's one heck of a car, but that butt is a little frumpy. Wouldn't keep me from buying on however.

BE CAREFUL! You know what they say about "perceived" Japanese reliability! Then there's those '1st year" models! Phew! 22,000 miles and almost 2 years old and not ONE problem yet! AND...... a 1st year model at that! NOTHING like Christine! Good luck with whatever you decide. Christine was gone at 35,500 miles and 33 months - 3 months early before lease end. Did NOT want her in MY name at 36,001 miles with NO warranty coverage!
I was there too! Were you up at Disney? I was in the West Palm Beach area. Did you drive?
Thought of you last Friday. I was on Lake Worth Rd. near Jog when I saw a silver CL with a "shaved" trunk and a Dolphins license plate frame. A woman with glasses was driving it. Thought MAYBE it was your car because of the shaved trunk!

I still have 1 1/2 years to go on my lease. Would I be able to trade too for maybe a different color and one with the nav? Only have 22,000 miles.
E-mail me and explain how this works please. Thanks.

I know Honda usually doesn't update their cars as frequently as every year, but I think they will decide to redo the rear bumber and lights as it is so ugly that it will hurt sales. Local Honda dealers are quoting a few hundred dollars over invoice now, which based on my past exeperience is unheard of. My sense is that their spring inventories are growing just when consumer spending and confidence is dropping off.

No MickeyWorld for the family (yet...). Was in Boca for the week, just beach/pool for the kiddies. Flew Southwest, left the M in a valet parking lot by TF Green. They had it waiting for me upon return, free of snow with the trunk open and ready to be loaded! I paid less for 8 days of parking there than I think I would have paid for 3 days at Logan!
Man, I still can't get over all the $$$ down there. The cars!!! I think the guy who cuts the grass at my parents condo drives a Mercedes...!

Well, I see that you are right again. I can't believe that the guy who sold me my 99M didn't call with the good news about 0/60 financing when it started in late Jan. What a surprise since I specifically mentioned to him that he should give me a call if Dieter went to 0/60. Its too late now, as a check of the DC site reveals that none of the local dealers have any 03 Specials, just some regular decontented 03's. Since Otto indicated that they have stopped making 03's and are now calling forth the 04's which also get a short run, I think it best to pay my puppy off and see what is available in late August when the 04.5's start coming off the line. The Crossfire and Caddy XLR should be out then too, along with a Z convertible, so....
To someone who suggested looking at a Mazda 6, my daughter just dumped a 96 MX-6 that had lots of brake and tranny problems. She had an MX-3 before that but she blanched when I suggested she trade the MX-6 for the new 6. No way Jose, she jumped to an Audi A4. Probably another mistake. Why don't they ever listen...
Pster--If you still got you M in August come on out to Detroit for the Dream Cruise rendezvous. As my M approaches the 5 year mark I am anticipating the A/C issue and new shocks, belts, hoses, tranny & differential service, etc. Mentally, I have put a few thousand aside in expected upkeep. So far my extended warranty has covered every little thing that has been a problem.

2002 TL-S. Tranny failed and was replaced at 6,100 miles.
Acura still wouldn't issue any statements as to what was wrong with the trannies and whether/how they fixed the problem. Which makes me think that they haven't.
P.S. when TL-S runs it is a lot of fun. Beat up a 300M last night. I caught up with him at 80mph and he tried to pull away, but 80mph is a sweet spot for TL-S - it shifts to 3rd and pulls like crazy. But then he managed to stay not too far behind. Actually I think after 100mph he got scared of consequences and stopped racing.

Anyone know what the next 300M will look like? The one rumored to have a 5.7 V8, rear drive and MB tranny? Been to Car-Truck.com. What is this beast going to look like? Bigmike5, is this the "4.5" model you were referring to?
Ruski - skip the extended service warranty contracts, you should spend the money on life insurance. I guarantee you, if my 17 year old had been on the same road with you guys, you'd both be dead at that speed.

The 4.5 LX platform is either going to be called the 300N or the 300C I think. I can assure you that it will be unlikely to carry a 5.7 liter anything. DC always has a way of piquing the interest [ala the Crossfire at 275 hp] and then dropping the power for some reason; although I think one of the Dodge models is supposed to get the big engine. The Buzz site had some drawing at one time, but don't think anyone has seen it in the flesh yet.
The Caddy CTS [and I'm not really sold on the looks of the car] is supposed to get a big upgrade [5.0??] in power too, but that is maybe
1-2 years off, and probably another $6K to get the V emblem. That will push it up to Eldorado sticker level. Probably won't interest me by then if I am still around. The current model is supposed to be real quiet at 100 m.p.h. according to my wife's car's service tech, but everything else I hear is about it being under-powered like the Catera.
