| Bought a 2002 LS on Friday before Memorial day, When driving to mkt. the next day, car stalled and would'nt restart. Dealer picked it up and is looking for solution to problem. Anyone else experience this problem and knows reason? | |
| I bought a new '06 LS and have had ongoing problems with the traction control causing the brakes not to function correctly. At one point dealer kept vehicle for a month replacing parts, bringing in regional engineers, etc. Solutions were found, fixes implemented and less than three weeks later, the exact same problem occurred. I've been back numerous times and yet nothing has worked. Has anyone else experienced this type of ongoing safety problem with braking? | |

If replacing a battery on an 8-year-old car is the biggest problem you've got, I'd rush right out and buy a lottery ticket.

I sold my silver Lincoln LS today. It was a 4/99 build and I have had it since May, 1999. In the 10 years and 112,000 miles, I replaced the COPs and the driver's side heat element. Other than that, routine maintenance has been my only expense. Prior to the LS, I had a '94 V8 T-bird which gave me 127,000 miles of service with no repairs at all so the LS wasn't quite as trouble-free. However, what does impress me about the LS was that it was just as tight, quiet, and solid as the day I bought it - not a rattle, squeak, or shudder. The doors still shut with a satisfying "thuck." While deciding on a replacement vehicle, I test drove several new cars that were less impressive. I paid $500 over invoice for the LS which, at that time, I thought was a steal. Obviously, we know that later on there were massive incentives and discounts. I sold the car for $6000 which I think was decent for both me and the buyer. I had kept the car pristine. Old "Silver" will be a tough act to follow. I will miss him. |
