| You stated in msg 1714 that you ordered running boards (12497885) from a local GM parts shop back in mid July. I'm very interested in an update from you. Did you get them? Did they fit your Envoy? I ordered them from GMPartsDirect.com by the same number. They arrived and I made a late night attempt to mount them, but could not due to a mismatch in the contour at each end of the board. Please post whether yours worked or not so I can determine if I received the wrong boards or it may be that I need to make another installation attempt. | |

| Why is it that the only way to get the locking rear miff on a TB is to order the 3.42 miff. It seems to me one of the biggest reasons to get a locking miff is when towing. <or pulling a large boat up a slippery ramp>. The 3.42 miff has the lowest towing weight of the three axle ratios. There is a thousand pound difference between the 3.42 and the 4.10. The locking miff with the 4.10 is available on the Envoy line, why not the TB? | |
| You can get the locking differential with a 3.73 rear end...that's what I have. | |

OK, net? where do you live? I want to make sure _not_ to walk around your neighborhood when you're driving, in case you decide to test these theories. Moral = don't hit people with your vehicle. duh. |

| I don't know from grease fittings. I'm not a mechanic. I'm only repeating what the service manager told me. If it's of any help, the repair ticket says: Lube Wheel Stops. I don't know exactly what that means, but the noise stopped. | |
| Does anyone else have this problem? If I try to fuel up my Envoy if the gas guage is above 1/4 tank, the gas won't go in unless the attendant turns the gas nozzle upside down. I know this sounds weird, but in NJ the majority of the gas nozzles have a rubber collar for vapor recovery. If the nozzle is put in the correct way, the gas pump shuts off after about fifty cents worth of gas goes in. No matter what you do, it will keep shutting off after a few cents worth of gas goes in unless the nozzle is turned upside down, then the gas goes in normally. The dealer says they can't find anything wrong with the Envoy. Go figure! | |

I noticed the same thing on my mother's Chrysler LHS (car). You go to put gas in...pumps about 1/4 gallon and kicks off. Sometimes it happens, sometimes is doesnt. I'd say its something more so with the hose at the gas station...perhaps the sensor is too sensitive? This problem doesnt happen at all gas stations for me...just a few...so I think it has to do with the pump itself. You visit the same gas station all the time? Same "brand" of gas? (i.e. Exxon, Mobil, etc) They will have the same equipment/nozzle/sensor from station to station...so that might be the problem. Good Luck...its nothing MAJOR at least! mmateyak |

| I have had on order for about 6 weeks a set of GM rubber floor mats for my new Envoy. They are still not here and the dealer today said there was a "quality issue" notification from GM saying that the mats would not be delivered until the issue was resolved. Does anyone else know anything about this? Should I drop back and go to plan B? | |
