| My Bravada has the single CD player - on it, the wheel button does cycle tracks. There may be a setting you can change in the DIC or on the stereo itself to let it cycle tracks with the wheel button instead of discs. | |
| I traded in a '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my '02 GMC Envoy on an early lease termination offer from a dealership an hour away from me in Denver. The Jeep was a nice vehicle, rugged and well-built, had a nice body style, good interior, etc. But it'd didn't have the power, room, or towing capacity of the Envoy. I leased a similarly equippled Envoy SLE (minus a power moonroof that my Jeep had, along w/ the brushguard, lighting I had installed)... and when all was said and done, my payments came out to be roughly .75 cents more than what I was paying on my 2.5yr old leased Grand Cherokee... I have friends who have Durangos, Blazers and Exploders... all of which are popular, capable vehicles -- and all have had their share of minor problems. So it really just depends on what vehicle you like personally, and which fits into your insurance budget. (be sure to do your homework insurance wise too) I'd go out on some of the other forums here and ask the owners what they think of their cars and go from there... | |
| Just wondering if the multi function stick is supposed to illumunate when the headlights are on. Mine doesn't and I find it difficult to see at night. Not sure if this is a problem or that was the way it was designed. Other Envoy owners please let me know. | |

Greetings all: I've had my '02 Envoy SLT for a few months (3,300 miles), and it's performed perfectly so far. Yesterday, though, on a left-hand U-turn, with the wheel turned all the way left and brakes lightly applied, I heard an intermittent grinding noise coming from the right front tire area. I called my GMC service guy and they said this is normal on Envoys when the wheel's turned that hard, and that the parts needed to be greased. I am not alarmed at the moment, based on feedback from the service department and the fact that the car handles fine otherwise. Anyone had a similar experience? |

| The same thing happened to me and the dealer said there were dry grease fittings. Once they greased the joints, the noise went away and everything's been fine since. | |

Check out the new Manik Brush/Grill Guard along w/ the rear bumper/tail light guards / Tube Side Steps for the 2002 Envoy:

| I have my share of posts in the topic listed above this one so I need some GM fan input. it's time for my 96 explorer to go. all in all an adequet performer. seating and leg room the best for a larger guy. I have not been much of a GM fan in many years but these new vehicles intrigue me. this in line six loaded with torque and up looks very appealing but what's the thought on investing this much money in a vehicle with an unproven motor. anybody a little scared about this? when ford switched from the push rod v-6 to the SOHC six it turned into a nightmare for people. | |
