Try Fleet Wax-Collonite No 885

its a paste, for 'aeronautical and marine' finishes--

i have a 06 E90 and love this wax--use it on whatever vehicle i have owned. it lasts quite a long time and the shine is very deep.

its semi hard to find, but you can google it and find it online now much easier-

cheers

while driving smoke appeared from the dash in the car.after parking up and switching the car off the sound of a fan noise kept on being made and would not stop. this eventually led to the car battery being drained. is it an electrical wiring fault ? im not sure can anyone help.

What year is the car? Depending on the age, it could be a bad switch, relay, or final stage resistor.

Premium Gas by kirkr

I have a 2006 325xi with 48,000 miles. I have always used premium gas (91 octane). Unfortunately, there is only one station remaining in my area in Iowa that sells non-ethanol blended premium. My question - Is it a problem using premium gas (91 octane) that contains a 10% ethanol blend?

Kirk

All cars from every manufacturer that sells cars in North America (BMW included) are designed to run with gasoline that contains up to 10% ethanol by weight (see page 169 in your Owner's Manual).

Shipo,

I was hoping you would respond. Thanks for the info. I would like to keep the car for 100k plus miles, since 90% of my driving are highway miles - nice paved county roads with very little traffic.

Regards,
Kirk

Thanks for the memories, I actually drove my 1970 Challenger (RIP) down some of those same roads in Nevada back in the later 1970s (oddly enough before I ever saw the movie).

While the 1970 in this comparison is one some serious steroids, I have absolutely no doubt that the new SRT8 would suck the doors off or my old car.

Best Regards,
Shipo
