Hello! I have just returned to the Isuzu family. Yesterday I purchased a 2004 Axiom S AWD with a mere 6,000 miles. (It had been sitting on the same used car lot for more than 2 years!) I hope I got a good one because the original 3 yr bumper-to-bumper warranty expires in just over a month. I had previously owned a 1991 Isuzu Stylus which I bought used circa 1996. By the way, in case there are any Axiom lovers out there, check Autotrader.com... There's a red '04 Axiom S AWD with 5600 miles (and several months original warranty remaining) located in Johnson City, TN. The advertised price is $16995. A dealer in a Chicago suburb also has an identical Axiom with about 23,900 miles (warranty still good for many months -- or 'til 50K miles) for $15695. There are a few others on Autotrader.com with relatively low mileage, too. |

My name is Matt from billings montana. i have a 2000 trooper ls, yes tod is sweet. ive been a 4 runner fanatic for years, but bought my trooper in january, and fell in love. nothing better on snow. ive been a little sceptical due to the lack of performance products including lift kits and what not. calmini makes the only lift kit that i can find. if you know of any others let me know. other perf products would be nice too. thanks

I just found this particular forum for Isuzu owners, although I have owned my 1996 Trooper since December 2000. Purchased it with 42,000 miles and now have 81,000 miles. It was strictly my weekend and mountain vehicle (where I needed 4x4) ------ until my 16 year old daughter got her drivers license in May 2007. She loves this vehicle ---- easy to see traffic, nice square shape so she can see the front and rear corners when parking. While I know lots of auto problems surface as cars get older, my Trooper has been excellent Plan on keeping this one and hopefully my 13 year old will be able to learn to drive on the Trooper in a few years.

Was wondering if you took any special precautions given the limited use. Mine is the opposite however, as I am using it in South Florida. I must say though that its a great vehicle for this purpose, as I just bought it and it is so far serving the purpose very well. Handles our luggage and three kids with ease, and rides well. We just took it to South Beach, among the many Ferraris, Lamborginis, and Bentleys (and "normal" cars), and it was not totally out of place (it is a Champagne 2002, with the BBS-style rims). Great truck.
