Conflicting torque specs by phillip3

I've a 1992 Mitsubishi Mighty Max p/u 2.4 , 4G64 motor. I have 2 repair manuals and I need to torque my connecting rods to the crank but one book says 14 lbs and the other says 38 lbs. Quite a difference, when removed it felt as if they were 38 lb setting. I find no reason in either manual for the difference. Can someone help me here? THANX pm_u_no_whohotmail.com

Sincer we have no current or archived discussions on the Max, you may start one and asjk your question. As noted above, please do not include your email address or a request to email you. In order to keep the board less cluttered, we move "one-off" questions to the existing forums for the specific make/model. We do this because that is where the majority of owners will see it and be able to respond.

Fuel Filling Problem 2002 Ford Sport Trac by david63

I have a 2002 Sport Trac that has approx 36,000 Miles. Recently I have been experiencing problems with filling the fuel tank. When I place the fuel nozzle in the filler tube the gas flies back out and covers me. I have to reduce the volume to almost a trickle to get it to go into the tank with out ending up all over me and the side of the truck.
 
Has anyone had similar problem? Recommendations?
